What is your complete favorite VST Reverb Plugin for vocals? Everyone having different tastes in sound aside. I still love the sound of the Lexicon Native Reverb. ; )

I tried alot of demos and chose the Relab LX480 ( ilok required) from Plugin Discounts for $199.99 . to me it sounds as good as the $1200.00 Lexicon plugin . The LX480 gives you plenty of features and looks and interfaces like the real thing. If you use ilok Try the Demo.

Mine used to be Perfect Space, until I "upgraded" from using an Audiophile 2496 soundcard to a Focusrite Pro 14. Now it is totally unusable due to the latency on the Focusrite. If you can use Perfect Space, try a preset Real Spaces/Performance Hall/Compressed Light as a great starting point for vocals.

Bullet proof vest on - I still like the surround version of the old Lexicon Pantheon from SONAR years past, used in a stereo project. It was always more subtle than the stereo version IMHO and worked well for vocals, also IMHO.

Still looking for the reverb holy grail myself. Spaces from EastWest is awesome. For whatever reason, I find Pantheon to be the worst sounding reverb out there (I know am in the minority) Sonitus and Perfect Space come with Sonar and are both very usable. Lately I am using less and less reverb and using delays in it's place.

PerfectSpace is an excellent vocal reverb. No need to embark on a costly quest for something better. If you don't like any of the bundled IRs there are hundreds more out there on the net. I do like ValhallaRoom a lot, though. It's a nice companion to PerfectSpace.

Obviously opinions on this are going to vary greatly.... 2C Audio Aether....very nice sounding (and award winning) reverb...and it's lil brother Breeze... http://www.2caudio.com/ I would like to have either one of those... For now I use TSAR 1R that came in my Softube Mix Bundle....it's a great sounding reverb and it's available for about $50 bucks now by itself...which it wasn't until recently. I'm surprised that the CSR boys haven't been chiming in here... PSP EasyVerb is also a good sounding reverb plugin and relatively cheap....not very IN DEPTH, but good sounding for $70 Demo them all.....get the one that YOU feel best suites YOUR EARS and get it! I've used demos of Spaces, Breverb, and on and on....so ...that's my 2 cents worth...

Rasure Im really liking a free one called Ambience http://magnus.smartelectronix.com/#Ambience For win users download "Windows VST Full" Ambience is an excellent reverb. It doesn't play nice in 64bit on my system though. I'd have to say Sonitus Reverb is my first choice, and Ambience is a close second.

Actually, for me, the best reverb for vocals is NO REVERB. But, I do create space with a couple of delays... one about 10-12ms and the other 30-45ms (depending on the song tempo). Doesn't really matter what type delay and make sure there is NO feedback loop unless you want a delay effect that repeats itself, for Vocal Air mode, just have ONE repeat. You do this making sure that the only output from the delay is the delayed signal and not a mixed source/delay signal. These delays give the vocals AIR without the wash of reverb and keeps the vocals standing out in a mix. Try it, you might like it. Unless, of course, you want the reverb sound as an effect. Using reverb on many instruments just makes the mix cloudy or spongey. Jim

Valhalla Room is the best $50 I've spent in a very long time. Other than that I use the UAD EMT140 plate and the EMT250. I also really liked the old Cakewalk FXReverb, but it's not 64-bit compatible. I'm not a fan of convolution reverbs for vocals. They don't do modulated reverb tails convincingly.

Depends on the song, vocalist, material. For most pop+rock I think any decent plate plugin will work nicely. (For the problem mentioned with tails using convo try a gate+ compressor on the bus to smooth them out)
