Excellent! How did you do the percussion at 2:18? It's really cool! I like how you developed it. Definitely enough to keep our interest. Sort of oriental feeling. And definitely would work as a soundtrack. (and thanks for bumping this. I only get around here once or twice a week so it may take me awhile to get to some things...) Glad I heard this one again. :)

Very cool, I really liked the syth's really kept things interesting and moving. really great intro in fact. I really thought it was ending at 2:30, nice transition. I think the extra 15 seconds or so at the end are a bit strange. It feels like you are starting to wind down, then up, then finish. Probably better just to wind down at 3:10 or so (IMHO). Mix wise it sounded pretty good.

Thanks Wookie. Oldfield is good right? Robby: Thanks for coming back again Robby. I’m still not 100% happy with the track so am working on updating it still. The “explosion” was a mixture of the following: a drum from StromDrum 2 Earthquake ensemble, a couple of cymbal crashes from superior drummer and a chimes patch. Shawn: Thanks for pointing the drums out. I will fix this in the next update. Janet: Thank you so much for returning. The percussion at 2:18 is as per the reply to Robby. I am the same as you, and can only manage to get on here a couple of times a week so i fully understand. Thanks Mathew. I totally understand what you are saying about the ending, and i’m working on changing that. Thanks for confirming this for me as i didn’t like it myself. Scotty: Thank you for returning too. Really appreciate it. Thank you all so much again. And i'm sorry it is taking too long to reply. Mark.

Hi Mark, late to this one, but I really enjoyed it. Some excellent dynamic touches and cool use of panning automation. String arrangements are spot-on, and I like the hammered dulcimer/koto (?) sound. Very nice track. James

Nice work. Definitely has the film soundtrack feel, with an interesting western/eastern mix.

Edit: Mix 4 Hopefully this is the final mix of this now, as i need to move onto another project. Changed quite a bit on this track. Added a bit of Choir and Duduk. It still ends sudden, but i wanted it like this. Thank you all for your comments, and advice and helping me with this track. Regards Mark.

"When watching a film, i have difficulty remembering what the film was about as I concentrate mainly on the film score. This is the style I try to emulate with my work. My goal is to create musical ironies that draw the listener in and have them listen intently and try to figure out where the music is going. " Posting from your bio (above), I think you've achieved EXACTLY this with this piece! Contrary to BBrew, I LOVED the synth work, the complexity of overlapping instruments fasciniates me. I listen to first one, then another for a few bars, never ran out of new threads to follow. REALLY SWEET! I'm feeling a desperate rider fleeing unseen persuers through a dense wood. Great theme for something in the theatre... Maranatha

The low end on the toms really kicks some subtle ass, Mark. I loved feeling them in context tot the rest of the piece. That Mister Crowley-type synth is creepy as all heck. Really well though out and arranged work.

I thought it was ending at the chimes which would have been cool, but I like the way it picked up again. Nice work. Very clean too.

"It still ends sudden, but i wanted it like this. " Reminds me of my relationships :-( This is an unusual piece. I like that bit at 2:42 where it feels like it's ending but it doesn't.
