Has anyone got their unlock codes from Overloud as yet? The website said it'd take up to 3 working days. I emailed them on Sunday and haven't heard anything yet. I'm quite keen for this to come through as TH3 is my favourite guitar amp sim out of the ones I have.

1. In fairness, Overloud weren't obliged to offer anything for free. The fact they did is a nice touch. Must admit I've not used the console or tape emulators. I did try TH2, but found TH3 to be so much better. 2. I've not actually been at my laptop at all since my codes came through, but I will let you know if I can get mine to work. That said, if you're encountering issues may be worth dropping them an email explaining what your issue is.

Well, OL just confirmed for me the above. Now after authorizing TH3 for some reason Samplitude won't re scan it in. It only sees the ones that don't work: TH2-Cake & BREVERB2-Cake.

I had to hide the old dll files.

Yeah I deleted the old ones and reinstalled the new ones. Seems to work OK now. Problem was I had 2 different versions of each one.

those are PC only, so cake would have to release the proprietary agreement with them to allow that. I don't see that happening any time soon.

those are PC only, so cake would have to release the proprietary agreement with them to allow that. I don't see that happening any time soon.
First, I will say that I too am thankful for what Overloud has done, they were not obliged to do anything. However, their motivation may not be quite as pure as it appears. The argument that Overloud would not be able to unlock Pro Channel plug-ins is refuted by the fact that they did find a way to "unlock" REmatrix Solo by giving us REmatrix Player and a library derived from REmatrix Solo. Why did they not "unlock" the console emulator? I think it is because the Pro Channel version is nearly identical to their full version of Tapedesk. The only easy way to "unlock" it would be to grant us a license to Tapedesk, but then there is no upgrade path to provide possible revenue for Overloud. TH2 was made obsolete by TH3, so again there is no possible revenue generating upgrade path. By contrast, the three plug-ins that were one way or another unlocked were all lite versions with a definite upgrade path, allowing possible revenue for Overloud. Again, there is nothing wrong with this, but it is perhaps not quite as selfless as it appears on the surface.

well - they're still in business to make money. I don't have a problem with it. Yes, what Beagle said. And it also could be an issue with older plugins and OL not wanting or being able to support them. Also, there may be different licensing issues that prevent them releasing some of the plugins. Cakewalk may have stopped production but that doesn't free anyone from licensing issues.

I've only managed to successfully download Breverb so far. The other two downloads (TH3 and REmatrix) keep failing.

I downloaded these but not installed them yet, and MS Security Essentials flagged a worm in one of the 32-bit installers for either the Rematrix solo or Breverb download (I forget which it was now, but the 64-bit version was fine). I typically get both 32 and 64-bit downloads just because, but that caught me off guard. Did anyone else happen to download the 32-bit version that can confirm or deny this?
ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.

Just upload the file to www.virustotal.com for a free check with 60+ AV engines. You might get a false positive or two, but is probably nothing to worry about. If most say it is OK, then you are good to go... Just take a look at the high number of false positives earned by MS in this real-world protection test: https://chart.av-comparatives.org/chart1.php

I loaded up Breverb and Rematrix Solo today... they work in SONAR, but in Studio One I get the pop-up that Breverb is locked to SONAR X2 or higher (I didn't delete the original install) and Rematrix Solo doesn't process any audio (that is new). I think I saw a post somewhere that "something" wasn't processing audio, and that may have been the same thing.

If you are getting a "locked" message, that means that your DAW is still loading a locked plugin version from some path on your system. I have installed and unlocked the new versions of the Overloud plugins, they are working in both Sonar and Studio One.

Yeah, for Breverb the conflict is highly likely, since I did not hunt down the old one.
The Rematrix Player is new, and I just checked that again and it is now working fine... For whatever reason it wasn't working on the first use in S1P, but is up and running now.
