PROBLEM - SONAR X3e CRASH - Project Disappears in File Folder. Autosave Remains

Howdy from Texas...
 
Today I'm working with multiple instances of Melodyne open in a project with lots of individual voices
Melodyne is up to date when opened as standalone and as plug in
 
Original project files is saved, archived and placed in separate folder.
 
A copy in the working folder is labeled with "ORIG" in filename...
as I worked I saved it again with "A" in the fiename
...when SONAR crashed ...both project files were gone
the autosave copy for both remained.
 
Anyone experience this?
...this happens at times and it doesn't happen at times...
 
I am about to save another version of the file with all vocal tracks effected with Melodyne deleted and continue the editing until such time as I save it again under a different designation.
 
Melodyne is running as a region FX
