Norrie,
Nope unfortnately it wasn't a joke.... I am sure they are nice but the VS series stuff just seems priced too crazy high for me to realistically consider currently so as to not torture myself I have never really looked at them very well.  $3800 bucks seems so unpractical (at least for me)  unless you operate a recording business that is making a positive cashflow.   Don't get me wrong... I am not downing it, I am jealous (drooling), & wish I could get one, but there is alot of other places I can spend that knd of money to increase my abilities and while maybe not as efficiently, a mouse works to move my faders for far less dough.   (sorry if this is considered tread hi-jacking)

ADK Built DAW, W7, Sonar Platinum, Studio One Pro,Yamaha HS8's & HS8S  Presonus Studio/Live 24.4.2, A few decent mic pre's,  lots of mics, 57's,58 betas, Sm7b, LD Condensors, Small condensors, Senn 421's,  DI's,  Sans Amp, A few guitar amps etc. Guitars : Gib. LP, Epi. Lp, Dillion Tele, Ibanez beater, Ibanez Ergodyne 4 String bass, Mapex Mars series 6 pc. studio kit, cymbals and other sh*t.

Hey Craig, the thing I really liked about your studio was the view!...sometimes being a musician who writes, plays, records, produces, mixes and masters their own material it can seem like a solitary existence...atleast if you have a window with a view you remember that there is an outside world

I DO miss the view, but I'm hoping to find another place with one once I move again (I love the Pacific Northwest - much better than when I was crammed in down in Southern California!).  Here's a couple of pictures of that view taken from the deck:

Sorry about asking if it was a joke.

I agree it is Pricey but I feel it was worth every bit spent I will be geting an Octo-capture to add to it in a couple of weeks aswell and I cant wait :)

Its a fantastice system and you wont find another that will do as good a job for sonar

If you get a chance go and get a demo and one and you will see

Yea!
A studio showoff thread!

That's where I produce the stuff:

This is how I play the stuff:

Also, not in the pics is my Yamaha CS1x synth and a Warwick bass guitar.

It's a Yamaha MG FX 12 (or something like that).
Currently it's a very expensive extension cord (to get the sound from the laptop to the DAW), and does nothing besides that.
Mixing is done on the laptop itself using the 2 controllers I got there (one is Novation Remote, second is NI Kontrol). Point is, I don't want to be dependant on a specific mixer, so it's less to carry around. Who knows what type of mixer you got at the venue, so I do everything on the laptop itself and just output it using the Audio 2 DJ interface (which is as big as a cig box).
