It's interesting how neither one answered the question.
You bring up a question about a quote straight from Cake that clearly states "as simple as that." Either you trust them or you don't. No need for the thread as this has been discussed numerous times and the very quote you mentioned is the answer to the question.

as much as poked a little fun at the OP in my previous post. He didn't know. sometimes people come here once every few months. he probably could have worded that OP better  but an honest mistake.

I upgraded form "any sonar to platinum (with lifetime updates)" dec 2015, my account says it's over
in jan 2017. anyone know about this?

Lifetime updates were not available in Dec 2015. The program was announced 1 Jun 2016. In Dec 2015 the upgrade included a 1 year membership. This explains the Jan 2017 expiration.

FWIW & IMS, the 2037 date is a data type byte boundary (like #FFFF FFFF FFFF FFFF) and is the number of seconds since 1/1/1970 (or some other arbitrary date). Nothing really nefarious except that is when the Illuminati and Greys expect to take control of the Earth. ;)

 My Receipt says Platinum(with Lifetime Updates) from any sonar or platinum. I'll see what Cake says. having trouble posting a pic Lifetime updates were not available in Dec 2015.
