I take it you didn't look at the link I provided in post 10. It lists what comes in each version. Also for 19 months CW has updated Sonar Platinum each month with added features and functionality. If you look at the rolling updates section you will see what is in Sonar to date. Keep in mind its a moving target. Every month a new version is released. Fortunately they are cumulative.

I'll give a 'titchy' bit of love, then. I thin the last bug fix was around october last year and the bug was something like 'PRV did not work for some users'. Kind a a necessary fix to me that one.

Is the VX 64 Vocal Strip withheld from the Platinum demo also?

I had upgraded from studio to producer to platinum. Through the upgrades, my old friend VC-64 was there with me.

A month or so ago I decided that due to some errant behaivior, I would go for a totally clean install.

Did all the uninstalls and the registry edits.  But reinstalled direct platinum.

You could see the tears swell from my eyes when I realized that VC-64 was gone.

All we are is dust in the wind, I was reminded.

And although I have learned to live without it, I wish I still had it.

I talked to Jim Roseberry today and he said it was 32 bit and didn't recommend to keep using it because it might have some issues trying to run it with 64 bit. Of course, you can still try it if you have it, but Jim's advice was basically to learn to live without it and move on. I sure hate it's gone because it was my favorite of all the plugins. You could put the VC 64 on one track or the final mix, and no matter what it was it always made it sound better.

I was at a workshop in Nashville a few years ago and one of the engineers addressing us on mixing and mastering said the VC 64 was one of his favorites, too. That's when I started taking it seriously and trying different settings with it, and I soon learned how good it really is. I can honestly say that I've never heard anything, not even from the WAVES packages, that improved the sound from one single application as the VC 64 did.
