Platinum plugins
I currently own sonar X3 Studio.. I did the trial version of platinum to see if I want to purchase for the lifetime upgrades. I did not find the VC 64 or the Bre-verb with the trial version. But a partner of mine did get it what did I do wrong? I ran a search for it and came up with nothing on my computer

Does your partner have X3 Producer installed? (or something else that has those FX?)

Most of us never tried the demo. We knew right away to buy in. So you may have a long wait. Sorry.

No I'm not, Oddtodd. I'm only trying to explain why you may not get a quick answer. Though John in post 11 has answered. I'm not sure why it matters to you in a demo. They do come in the full version.

We're here to answer questions and be as helpful as we can. You haven't done anything wrong in asking a question. My concern was only that you posted another thread with the same question. Instead of saying you shouldn't do that I was trying to steer you toward more patience. I don't want you to feel in anyway uncomfortable or that you are not welcome here. Hence my posting this reply. I hope you decide to get Sonar and come here often. Suppose you don't get it? You are still welcome to be here and ask questions. Just don't post the same thread twice.

I told him that the trial version of Platinum had BreVerb and VC64 because I had it on mine. However, I learned here today that I had it because it was on another X version of SONAR that I had. Sorry for the confusion.

BreVerb and VC 64 would be two things that I think Cakewalk would want people to see and try. Just those two will make the difference in whether some people but Platinum or not. I wish they'd let you mix down and save a session or two just to experience the whole thing, but I'm sure there are reasons why they don't.

The last version of SONAR to include the VC-64 is X2. The plug-in was stuck at 32bit and the company that developed the plug-in went out of business some time ago. The ProChannel version of BreVerb might be part of the demo. I cannot say for sure having not actually worked with the demo.

SONARX2 is the last version I had until I got Platinum. Do I have VC 64 on my SONAR Platinum because it was installed with X2 and Platinum scanned and found it? Or did Cakewalk come up with some way to keep including it with Platinum?

I have X2 and Platinum installed on the same machine, so that's probably why. The VC64 was such a great plugin. I'm really sorry it's not included anymore. What is the closest thing to take its place? That thing made everything sound better.

You have the VX-64 Vocal Strip. I believe it does somewhat "the same".

Just out of curiosity, is the VC64 available in any previous Cakewalk software on a CD or DVD that is still available?

ok so now I am messing around with the Demo version of Platinum, and besides the new look of the console and tracking view, I dont see anything different effects or plugin wise than what I already have. I guess the only way I will see what all the hype is....is to go ahead and purchase the full version.
