I have a Presonus AudioBox 1818VSL interface, and it works fine on Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 for me. They did issue an annoucement that the VSL software has been deprecated, but that only drops the little mixer UI, which I never used anyways. You now control it through the DAW, and that works fine.
I cannot speak to other units of theirs, nor can I speak much to the 1818VSL, other than to say that they were quite kind to me, when my 5 year old 1818VSL developed a hardware error, and their $155 out of warranty charge for repairs didn't result in it working again, nor did an additional return fix it - that they then shipped me a completely brand new 1818VSL audio interface, which works perfectly for me now. That was pretty nice of them.
I will be taking a look at the 192 in another 6 months or so, but may well end up with some RME model or Focusrite, both of which have sterling reputations for stability and driver support. I really want to end up with a combination of a new interface and a new 8-port ADAT-capable expansion unit - to get me to 16 mic/instrument inputs with good pre-amps. (I currently have the 8 inputs from the 1818VSL and its expansion unit, so I do still have 16, but these are indeed older models, and I want brand new solid technology.
All of that being said - I am quite happy with what I have now.
