I've heard from Randy fairly recently. He's currently busy trying to get his musical staged.

Re: Piano Roll. I have only the most rudimentary keyboard skills. It would be easier for me, as a rookie, to compose as though I were sitting at the piano, with the keys horizontal. But I can see Randy's point about following the flow of music while it's playing. How about a toggle? I compose on horizontal keys, playback on vertical keys. I mean, as long as you're redesigning the application.
