Purchased Lifetime Membership and don't see it in your account?

Some people have had issues with lifetime updates not being applied to their account.
If you purchased Lifetime updates recently and do not see it reflected in your account please post in this thread and we will resolve it for you.

We have already fixed all the known issues with this but if any slipped by please let us know.

The most common problem has to do with people who bought lifetime updates but then cancelled and refunded another membership. There are also some cases where people bought redemptions from third parties that were out of date.

As long as you post with the same account that you use to sign on to SONAR we should be able to investigate your case.

I don't see it on my 'My Products' page. Is that where it should show up?

Ah! I found it on the main page under My Products > Membership Details
https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Membership

You will receive lifetime updates for this product forever!

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Finally someone to talk to about the mess I have gone through since I purchased the yearly update. Tried working it out with cleaverbridge but they just passed the buck to cakewalk who then ignored any corespondence I sent. For reference here is the case number. 321681

I understand that cakewalk was having staffing issues so I see no need of being snarky about what happened but I would like the lifetime updates plus any extra money returned to my credit card. I have had to add an extra two months of payments since I cancelled my order with cleaverbridge since splat disappeared from my orders and had no other way to get the updates. To contact me audioguy@live.ca
Thanks speak soon.

Hi Steve,

Sorry for the grief with this and thank you for having a positive attitude.
You should be all set - I upgraded you to lifetime updates and cancelled your monthly membership (please recheck this)

Hi,

I am coming back to sonar after a long absence.  I just missed it.  But I purchased and my membership details say something along the lines of valid through Aug 2017.  One of the big reasons I updated was not only because I missed the product but because you were jumping to mac and were offering lifetime updates to the core program.  Let me know if I need to contact someone at Sweetwater, where I bought it from, because my receipt says I bought the lifetime updates as well.

Thanks,
James

I'm sure glad I saw the link to this post. I also paid for the yearly edition on July 17. Then I was charged $9.99 for the monthly fee on August 3, so I canceled the subscription for the monthly fee and accepted the fact that I was out $9.99. One other thing I found was when I started Sonar using the shortcut in my taskbar, it would always come up as a trial version. Only when I used the command center to start Sonar did it work properly.

Cheers!

Hi, I purchased lifetime updates on 8/4/2016, then canceled my monthly subscription on 9/3/2016 and now I don't see lifetime updates in My Account, and Sonar has disappeared from Command Center.  I also opened a related ticket (326536) on 8/31 but never heard back.  What should I do?  Thanks.

Geez, how did I not see this thread before?

I purchased *TWO* lifetime update licenses (I have 2 full licenses to X3 Producer), but I only got one new set of serial numbers.  I just posted in a new thread about this minutes ago.  My case # is 326660, in case that helps.

I don't envy you guys with the support problems you are having -- hope you get that sorted out soon.

Please let me know when my serial # problems will be fixed.  I'd appreciate it very much.

Just so everyone knows (without having to follow the other thread).  Noel took care of this.

And as I said in the other post, Noel....

YOU ROCK! :-D

P. S. For anyone interested, if you need to have more than one full license to Sonar Platinum, you will need to have multiple accounts with Cakewalk.  That was my problem, I had two licenses to Sonar X3 Producer associated with the same account (evidently brought in from my old account from before Cakewalk's conversion to the new SSO accounts).  Since those new SSO accounts were created, you can only have one license (I'm assuming that is per-product) associated with a single account.

Gosh, I'm STILL having problems with the Command Center, telling me that I have "No Products."  Sarah, from Cakewalk, has been trying to help, and I have done everything she's advised, but I still cannot download SONAR Platinum.  Since I was going to pay monthly, I thought it would be the best and easiest way, but apparently not.  Do you guys still send physical discs with the SONAR program on it, so that I can install it on my new computer? I'd be willing to do a full-out purchase of the program, if so.   I'm using Windows 10, with this new machine, and I have tried installing Command Center using Google, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge, thinking that might be the problem, I have uninstalled, and re-installed the Command Center over and over, after deleting all the files in the folder that Sarah had me do.  Still, it says I have "No products."
I love SONAR, and have been a Cakewalk user for probably 20 years, and I hate to leave it, but I'm at the point of looking for something else.  Don't know that there IS anything out there any better, without switching to a MAC and using LOGIC.  Can you puleeeze help?

There is no requirement to use the Command Center. There is no physical media. All the installers are available in your account. There is also a manual activation process.

Lifetime updates started being sold on 6/1/2016.

I can't remember now if there was a grace period, but you'll need to talk to customer service about this.

Lifetime updates started being sold on 6/1/2016.

It was sold to me at 5/18/2016, as can be seen in my story activity. To avoid misunderstanding, I do not have any problems. If I remember correctly, there was "pre-sale" for Lifetime before 6/1

You had previously renewed in Jan 2016, there was an offer to those users before the public 6/1/2016 date.

Mystic38's first purchase was 2015. He's another case entirely.
