"Queen Anne's Revenge" another Janet and Rik collaboration remix 8-27

Hi All , this time it's my composition and Janet graciously supplied some excellent piano parts that I also used for the flute in the intro. Guitar , mix and general orchestral  mayhem are my contribution. If you're brave enough , have a listen :

I third this, definitely a medieval vibe going on, which I love.  Great composition, Rik!  Awesome performances by both you and Janet.

Hi Rik and Janet - As I do not recall anyone writing such a beautiful piece of music for him, this is definitely one in the eye for Henry (whoops, sorry, that was Harold!). And there is a moral to the tale. Of the two Anne's, Cleves was as ugly as sin, kept her head and outlived him. Boleyn was beautiful! But of course, beauty is only skin deep - shame I haven't got a thicker skin! Excellent piece, wonderfully arranged and brilliantly performed. Best Regards Malcolm

    Hi, Rik,

Wow, you and Janet put together an absolutely beautiful piece of music!

Amazing playing by both you and Janet, and the orchestral parts and full mix sounded really fantastic.  The arrangement was perfect for the style of music, and I really enjoyed the different passages flowing throughout the entire song.  This is a top notch production all the way round.

    Excellent work!

Hi Malcolm, Henry had it coming, calling her a "Flanders mare". As the town where I live was part of the Duchy of Cleves , I thought I'd  dedicate this to her. Glad you liked it.

Hi Bob, thanks for listening, glad you liked the mix and the arrangement. Janet's piano parts are a perfect match to my composition so it was fun arranging them.

You guys are all too kind. This was one of the harder songs for me to play on. I listened to it for days before I figured out what to play. When I sent it to Rik I figured he'd tell me to try again, so I was quite surprised when he said it was just right. I was even more surprised to hear the totally creative way he wove it in. I'm impressed! :) Sorry it took me so long to finish it, Rik. And thanks for being such a gentleman.

    Rik/Janet,

    Great tune, Rik.

Fine playing from both of you and the mix sounds great on my little speakers.

When are you two taking the act on the road?

There are some minor details to work out, but there have been rumours of a world tour.

Wow that's quite an ambitious piece.  Very cohesive and really well thought out.  I enjoyed this much.

There's parts that I thought could be tightened up, especially where the guitar is strumming.  But the energy is really good regardless, so I don't know.

This is a good composition and Janet's part is integral.

    Peace,
