Question about pitch markers (Answered)

Is there any way when setting up pitch markers to do a combination of major and minor pitch changes?

I also wished there is a way to do this, but I've only seen the major scales in pitch markers.

    Hi, Thatsastrat and Mesh

Pitch markers do non-destructive transposition on the fly as a project plays, and we all get that.  But you're saying you'd like there to be a choice for shifting a clip from a major key to minor and vice versa?  It seems like anything is possible nowadays, so there probably could be or is a utility to do that - a Majorly intelligent utility.

If all chords in a clip were played in the first position, the app would just need to know that the chord's 3rd needs to be shifted down half a step to make a minor chord out of a major one.  But most of the time, a track has a combination of all sorts of chord positions, and of some rather "exotic" chords.  The app would have a lot to figure out, knowing what note(s) to change - Seems like that's in the realm of possibility though.

Have I understood your posts correctly - that's what you want, right?

Meanwhile, especially in a clip, which isn't usually very long, it's not too time consuming to get into the Staff or PRV and shift the 3rds to where you need.

    Thanks Randy!,
I have figured out that the pitch markers will only follow the root note, root note being the key to the puzzle. Meaning all chords have a basic root note, but the other notes put together that make them minor , major, 7th, or what ever can not be changed by the pitch makers. So I can not change chordal structures, only the root note of the chord.

Right - What you're wanting does seem in the realm of possibility, but it would be quite a piece of programming, and then to have it calculate all that in real time.  Maybe one of these days!  Meanwhile, good old fashioned editing is needed.
