Thanks, David. Yes, I do have a TJ's close by. I never think about going there - I feel weird among all those new-age yuppies who think nothing of paying $5 for a chocolate bar if it's "organic". But I'll definitely give their BBQ sauce a try.

Great tune, Mike. Corn Syrup Blues, I'll be humming it as I cruise the grocery aisles. You hardly ever hear "vats of fungal scum" in songs nowadays.

Two words: cheap wine!  Two-word synonym for previous two words: Charles Shaw.

Seriously, though, I probably spend more on food (and beverages) at TJ than anywhere else.  It's fairly health-oriented, vegetarian-friendly and (did I mention?) a great source of inexpensive wine.  Plus there's a TJ store that's closer to me than any supermarket - I consider myself most fortunate!

Dude if you still have the previous installation you can transfer the steam folder that contains all the data to the new hard drive and just run the installer you can get from their site and point out the copied folder. I do that every time I reinstall since it's a bloody hassle.

Everytime I get a survey from cakewalk I ask for a better way to reinstall sonar. I actually contrary to Bitflipper think Waves solution is quite good. I install their licenser (even though I hate licensers) and just click all plugs I have. Done.

Thanks, metz. Are you talking about Superior Drummer? I've been whining about so many product re-installs I don't know which one you're talking about :)

My current challenge is with IKM, trying to get the 64-bit version of the 670. I bought it before they moved to the custom shop model, or whatever they call it, but now it's telling me I have to re-purchase it. I've just started to like that one after previously writing it off. I'd hate to send it to the cut list, but at this point I'm so pissed off about all the hoops these vendors are making me jump through I'm in a mood to seriously downsize my plugin collection.

Thank goodness for Meldaproduction and Fabfilter. They make up the bulk of my go-to's and neither gave me any problems.

I wrote off IK when I set up my current DAW. One too many hoops for stuff that wasn't worth jumping through hoops for.
