I'm getting pretty fast now at retrieving my serial number to get these Quick Fixes.  Mind you, I'm not complaining...  Thank you, Cakewalk.
I find hitting the spacebar makes the serial number appear in the box, which is just as well as I can't cut and paste from the "about Sonar" screen.
Obviously this only works after it has been entered for the first quickfix.

Grum.

Edit: Or the first letter of the serial number (C) will bring the whole sequence.

I think this would be a function of your browser and settings so it does not/may not function for all browsers.  What I have done is just copied the serial number into Notepad, saved the file, and then sent it to the desk top for quick copying.

I'm really liking the quickfix approach. Now if we could just get better integration of the Mackie Control, I'd really be a happy camper!! Please update that Mackie file.

I didn't try 245 because of the magnetic snap problem, but 246 doesn't completely fix the note duration selection problems in the staff view.

Specifically, if you use hotkeys (ctrl+shift+4, etc) to change the note duration, it updates the GUI but doesn't actually change your note duration.

I submitted it as CWBRN-4455

Has this broken HUD operation because 245 appeared to fix the HUD?

what about the snap to settings in the CB for track view?  every time I save it reverts back to 1/4 note resolution.  that's very frustrating.  I was hoping this fix would solve that problem.

surely I'm not the only one seeing this problem?  has anyone submitted a problem report for this?  if not, I will gladly do so.

Selection from the HUD appears to still work fine. It's just the keyboard shortcuts (which were also broken before 245)

Beagle:

Snap To seems to be working correctly for me in build 246.

However, when a new project is started the Snap To setting is always 1/16. However, after I change it and save the project, it stays at what I change it to.

Another thing to be aware of is that there is an option and value a user can put into the Initialization File which is "IncludeSnapInScreenset=1"

That will make it possible to have different Snap To values per screenset. If you're using that option in the Initialization file, and change screensets, the snap to setting may be a different snap to resolution in different screenset numbers, until you change and save for the different screensets.

Could it be you switch screensets but haven't changed and saved the snap to resolution for each screenset? I'm just wondering because when I change a Snap To setting and save it, the setting sticks for me.

thanks for the reply thomas - maybe I should have started a new thread for this.

I will look at the initialization and see if that helps.  but I'm not using different screensets at all on this.  I have not really gotten into using them, so I haven't changed screensets at all on this project.

but what I'm actually seeing is that the snap to setting will change throughout this particular project as I play the project, it will also change when I save. it always reverts back to 1/4 note.

Sorry thomas and guys.  I figured out the problem.  it's due to benstat's Sonar Plus.  it wasn't behaving that way this last time, and I realized I hadn't loaded Sonar Plus.  it only happens with sonar plus running.  I'll check with Ben on this.

Ahhh - note (pun intented) to self - CWBRN-4455...  This would the old "fix note duration key bindings in staff view"?

If the Bakers fix this, benstat might be able to adjust Sonar Plus will be able to display the note duration value icons on the staff view (see my avatar).
