And he's the one that said that anyone that knows music is an idiot!

How could he be a musician's musician if that is true?

try not to be disrespectful in this particular thread.

Maybe you should check out how many albums with AH I have in my collection before you make that assumption!

You have no idea, and probably have not heard half of them!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

I have well over 100 albums that he was either known to be on or could have been on (I can't be bothered to find out which Gong, Level 42, Soft Machine or UK albums he wasn't on).

Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!

I think he was only on one Level 42 album - 'Guaranteed'. Can't umm...guarantee that though...

it's pretty cool that they had so many respond,
that they actually had to close the gofund....

i wonder what happens to his record sales from here on....

Well, you can bet on a rush on his main album sales in the immediate future, I think (or whatever would constitute a run in sales for someone whose numbers were never as astounding as his artistry warranted). I tend to to think that, since he is often classified as a jazz great by many, his sales may be quite a bit better in the very long haul than someone like, say, New Kids on the Block (to name an extreme case).

And this reminds me, there are several older artists whose recordings I have on vinyl that I have wanted to port to digital, hopefully CD. I'm going to set up some sort of schedule for that before it's too late.

“Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy” is attributed to Benjamin Franklin perhaps in error, but the thought remains a worthy sentiment nonetheless.
