we installed the old 8012 and 8112 systems (Radionics).  they had just come out with remote and laptop programming for a couple of years before I left the company.  I have no idea what model their on now.

the 8012 systems were ancient, the 8112's were the ones you could program using a "programmer" (hand held scanner that plugged into a CAT5 connection on the panel) or via remote using a DOS based program.

ah, those were the days!

yeah... it's gotten pretty complicated and the only common sense thing to do these days is use a lap top. Some are now using the netbooks. That's what I will likely look at as well as a full size lappy.


BTW: I'm finally installing the disks for 2011.

When I was in the security business, we used nuclear weapons.

2600+ styles and what....close to 500 real tracks (I didn't count them) now with accordion and vibes in the RT. pretty cool looking stuff.
