Cool tune....I played it while I did something else and I noticed that I really like that groove.

Nice job.

Shows really nice diversity, and as you know, I am all about that too :D. There are some distractions with the panning at the moment. Those were already covered. I love it's movement and overall composition though. Thanks for sharing Lynn :).

Herb, thanks for stopping by.  It's funny, but I wrote this song while working on something else.  I got distracted and ended up with this.

Tony, I appreciate you comments and your time.  Hopefully, the panning issues have been resolved.

Tom, I love Joe Walsh, so thank you for the compliments.  As for the  f/x, many people claim to love the old Roland Space Echo, and this is the closest I've come to emulating that tape delay.  It's a little dark, but those who had a tape delay know this is reasonably accurate.  It just happened that I liked this color for the vocal.

Thanks again to all of you.  This is still a WIP, but it is getting closer and closer each day to a finished product thanks to all of you.

All the best,
Lynn

only some of the sounds need to be improved
but the concept is good and of course your voice too  ;-)
i think, a bit more polishing of the sounds
would be good (Shine)
It could be a real hit.

B36B, thank you for having a listen.  I think you may be right.  A little spit shine could do wonders.  This song is still open and a long ways from being polished, but I do appreciate your ears and advice.

Missed the earlier mixes so can't comment in relation to them. I like the guitar sound - feels spot on for this.

Nice job on this, Lynn.  I like the song.  As a bass player, the bass tone is bothering me a little.  It seems like it should be a bit deeper or beefier.  I wish I could explain things better.  This could very well be just a personal preference.  Your vocal is good as always.  I like the tune and I like the ending.

Larry, thank you for taking a listen and the Clapton reference.  He's one of my all time favorites though the similarity is accidental.

Warren, I take you seriously about all matters regarding bass.  Since this song is still open, I wonder if you think that applying the tube tone that comes with ProChannel would help with this?  I'll be experimenting with some different settings the next time I dial this up.  Glad you like the ending.

All the best,
Lynn

As Bat sez nice Todd Rundgren vibe.  Kinda poppy, kinda psychodelic.  Great mix of the 2 and, yea, it is very retro.  Nothing wrong w/ that seeing as I am too ;-)

About the only thing to add is the snare has no body (that I could hear on these computer speakers, anyway - they are hit and miss so take it with a saltshaker full of salt).

Nice groove, great arrangement.  With the mix, it seems you are hitting the point of diminishing returns (tho I didn't hear the early versions).  It sounds really solid at this point.

Makke, I appreciate your comments and the time for listening.  Keep up your good work!

AT, you may be right about the point of diminishing returns.  I have it in the ballpark, so the best thing to do would be to give it a rest and approach it with fresh ears.  The snare is thinner than I normally use, but that was the idea.  This is something that I will listen to when I come back to this song.  Thanks for your time and advice.  You've given me much good advice this year.

All the best,
Lynn
