Redneck Ruckus

Hi,

I haven't been around in a while 'cause of work and life and stuff...you know

Anyway, I'm here now with a sorta country/rockabilly/swing-ish tune called 'Redneck Ruckus'.

Check it out if you like and, by all means, feel free to leave comments, suggestions, complaints, etc.

Thanks. redneckRuckus

1st class chicken pickin... I really enjoyed this. Is it two different guitars played the same in the left and ri, no, no it isn't at all... That left isn't a guitar at all, is it a steel guitar, or a pedal steel? Really great playing...

Sounds excellent.  Great performances and mix.  Love the delayed guitar effect.  Outstanding guitar solos.

Hi Gary, Les Paul and Danny Gatton share a stage with Johnny Hiland and a good time was had by all . This is beyond criticism. Excellent with a capital E and a couple of yeehaa's thrown in for good measure.

rockinrobby: Hi Robbie, thanks for listening and commenting. Glad you liked it and...you are correct, Sir...it's a pedal steel guitar on the left.

CLEAN: Hey Mark, thanks for checking it out. Really enjoyed "Black Panther" by the way. Thanks again.

guitartrek: Hi Geno. Thanks very much for the listen and the kind words. Much appreciated.

    tyacko: Hi Tom. Thank you!

timidi: Thanks, Tim and a big Yowza!!!! back atcha

morenoise: Hi Rik. Great to hear from you. Glad you liked the tune and I truly appreciate the
Les Paul, Danny Gatton and Johnny Hiland references...even if I'm not fit to carry their guitars

No How:  Thanks for stopping by, Rick! As for the guitars...the guitar on the left is a Carter 12 string E9/B6 pedal steel...sorry you asked? The guitar on the right is a Telecaster. The amp
is one of those Line6 POD amp simulators. Thanks, again.

Oh man that was cool!!! Love the tones and the playing is superb!! Quite a nice ruckus there.

Nitpick - bring up the bass guitar! Love that moving line but I'd love to hear it a little more up front. Just a couple of dBs cuz the guitar is the star on this one.

    bapu:
    Drums are perfect.

Thanks for listening/commenting. I appreciate the comment on the drums since I
probably spend more time on them than on the guitar!

drumstixkev: Hey Kev, how are ya? It's always great to hear from you. Thanks for
checking out the tune. I value your opinion and I'm glad you liked it.

Hi Dave. Thanks very much for the suggestion. There are a couple of other things that are
bugging about that tune so, when I get around to fixing them, I'll bring up the bass a little, too.
Thanks for listening and I'm glad you liked it.

You've got that 'midas touch' on those geetars!! The tone and playing are exceptional Gary! Yer phrasing and delivery (especially those stops around 2:00) are killer. I don't know if I should throw my guitar out the window or start practicing a lot more now...You're a musical inspiration!!!

Gary, you know I'm a huge fan.  I'm guessing our musical histories have a lot in common, except that your're a kick-ass guitar player.  Love all your stuff this is no exception, some great changes in here.  Reminds me of a cross between Scotty Anderson and Johnny A.  That's a great meld!

hmm...I don't know about that. I sure don't have any gold ! Thanks very much, Larry and as far as the "musical inspiration"...well, that works both ways!

    Colonel Sanders: haha!  Thank you!

darylcrowley: Hi Daryl. Great to hear from you...except for:
I'm guessing our musical histories have a lot in common, except that your're a kick-ass guitar player.
You're probably correct about the "musical history" part but you seem to be implying that you're NOT a kick-ass player-which is NOT the case! Anyway, I'm glad you liked the tune and I appreciate the Johnny A. reference. I just spent 2 months working in MA and he plays all kinds of little bars, etc. up there, which I found kinda surprising. I went to see him and his band play at a small music store. There were maybe 30-40 people there. They sounded great, though. Thanks for checking out the tune.
