59 years old here and I'm looking forward to see what kind of damage I can do with R-Mix.  I'm anticipating the automation lanes and the take lanes features but I've learned to be cautious until I see how the bakers have decided how I need to work this feature.

Yeah, I'm excited...
Lots of "useability" improvements

Hey, I don't ever want to lose that sense of excitement.
New music tools/toys are always exciting!
If not, you may be in the wrong field...

58 here and nothing gives me more pleasure than ordering new stuff.

While the "ordering" is nice, it's the day I come home and find the package on the front steps thats more like my childhood memories of rounding the stairs on Christmas morning and seeing the bottom of the tree loaded with presents when the evening before it was bare :)  Brings out the child in me every time (unless I realize the package is my wife's contacts from Contacts.com.)

By the way - I turned 45 this year.

Age will never diminish your desire for new toys or the love of music, only how long your turn signal stays on down the freeway. Enjoy the ride.

Will be 54 this month and I too am stoked about getting the new update. I would imagine all those young whipper-snappers around here are thinking....wow, I didn't think those old farts could even turn on a computer... :) . Then again, none of them ever had to do a splice with a razor blade...or do a remix because they failed to move one fader. Automation was a luxury back in those days...!

And when they complain about the lack of gapless audio, they never had to deal with rewinding a black face ADAT and a silver faced ADAT XT and waiting for them to catch up with SMPTE code and sync up with each other again.  Haha.

Getting older is a badge of honor I wear proudly and with great joy.  when I was 22 I was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder that my doctors told me would probably impact my life expectancy.  At 36 that blood disorder morphed into an acute form of Leukemia (while this sounds bad, it was remarkably the better of the two possible end stages) and informed that without a bone marrow transplant (BMT) I would probably be dead within a year, needless to say I choose the BMT.  Three years later I relapsed and once again left with the same choice, that was five years ago.

This year I turned 45, 23 years after I was informed that 45 was iffy at best -  here I am.  Ones view of growing older can change in an instant, mine did.  While at times my 45 year old body feels like a 60 year old body because of the treatments I've undergone, I wouldn't trade it for anything.  Stangely enough, despite what we've been through and my feeling on aging, my wife keeps celebrating the anniversary of her 38th birthday, and she is a few years older than I am so it's been several anniversaries now.

I guess life really is in the living and subject to ones experiences.

55 here......  Can anyone remember the excitement of creating three notes at once in the old DOS Cakewalk and thinking you had really accomplished something!  If you believe in eternity being older just means you got to live a little longer than the younger guys!
