Regarding the webinar and release of X2

For some reason, I'm much more excited than I use to be. Probably because I can relate more than usual to the new stuff.

But folks, I'm 48 years of age and I feel almost the same way as I did  two days before christmas - when I was 5! Can someone please help me grow up? ;-)

Don't have to. In fact, being a child at heart when it comes to music and music toys (like X2) does great wonders ! Let the excitement grow !

Re:Regarding the webinar and release of X2 2012/09/03 22:40:21 (permalink)
I have to admit...I'm pretty stoked about X2...

After being a die hard, ardent Cubase user for years...then making the switch to
NO TOOLS.....which totally sucked on every single solitary level known to man...
and when X1 came out I said.....I have to try this...

Been hooked ever since....nothing quite equals the workflow in X1.  For me
    it just makes sense....

I loved Cubase and knew it inside and out...but it just never felt quite right...for me.
NO TOOLS.....well, let's just say, for the "Industry Standard" they fall WAY WAY WAY WAY
SHORT....and I know all the NO TOOLS Fanboi's will cry "FOUL" even though they KNOW
it's the truth.  How could you be this far along, be the "Industry Standard" and STILL be
32 bit...and have the WORST, MOST AWEFUL, DREADFUL, HORRENDOUS, what did I leave
out.....ummmmmm RIDICULOUS Customer DIS Service on the known inhabited EARTH?

Oh yeah...and they CHARGE FOR IT TOO....after RAPING you on the price....and
You don't even get dinner and a movie....

Ok....so....I'm extremely excited to get my upgrade...and I don't care if it's buggy...

I haven't owned a piece of software yet that wasn't....I deal with it...
It's a tremendously difficult task to design software for 8 hundred billion different PC
configurations and pieces of hardware....I know....first hand....

So bring it on.....I'm ready, willing, and bring it before I'm NOT able....LOL

    Cheers!!!

PS...just a side note.....I will be trying DP 8 for Windows when it comes out...
    if they have a trial version....but I don't believe it will hold a candle to X1 - 2 ....
I know that the fact that they were supposed to release it by summer...which is now gone...doesn't inspire a whole lot of confidence...that's for sure...and it probably won't
even come close to X2.....so.....I'll try it...but it's going to have to be one HELLUVA program to beat
    even X1....

    Cheers!!

I'm picking they will announce the release date during the webinar. I'm pretty excited too!

I hope they have the core program- sans samples, loops, etc- in one easy download, and all the samples, loops, etc in one massive download that I need never access.

58 here too. Will get X2 cheap on release but won't install it until any major bugs ironed out. I can't go through another traumatic SONAR release. X1 was enough to make me change a habit of over 15 years of buying the next Cakewalk DAW on release and installing straight away.
But it's still new gear/toys so today's strong resolution will likely be tomorrow's GAS.
