Retaining QuadCurve remote control settings
I have no problem setting up QuadCurve and remote control initially with my PCR500 and then saving it as a ProChannel preset. Works great :) But... On reopening a project my QuadCurve settings are lost. Help Please :)

Hi Alex So from new project... Open a bus Right click on Quad setting (Low Freq) and select “remote control” Twiddle a controller on my PCR500 (controller 16 - MIDI Ch 01) and press “learn” tab press ok and now quad is activated by PCR500 repeat using other PCR rotors and other Quad nobs Yep all works fine, then I save as a new ProChannel preset Close project then reopen project and Quad has not retained settings

Also... Upon reopening the “remote control” the new value (controller 16 - MIDI Ch 01) has gone and original default value has returned

Same results occur with the 3 ProChannel modules which let you use “Remote Control” - QuadCurve
- PC76 Compressor
- Tube Saturation
I've now tested this on X2 and X3 and on both my... My live rig... W7 HP laptop and a PCR300 Studio setup... W8 and a PCR 500 All with same results....... The mystery continues Would appreciate it if someone can confirm this behaviour. Cheers... Glynn

You haven't in fact saved the AC T learn function.
Presets are related to modules used and their individual settings. You want to use ACT to remember the link between your controller and what it controls.
I'm on my iPad at the moment so can't give you a step by step but you need to activate ACT learning on the PC then after moving the pots and sliders etc close the ACT learn control and it should have saved it. I think from memory only.

Thanks for your reply mudgel Yes indeed, I'm familiar with ACT and can manipulate QuadCurve, PC76 Compressor and Tube Saturation settings with it. For long winded reasons I won't go into here, other then to say that I wanted to use “Remote Control” as part of an on-stage set-up. So, I still find it strange that all other function that you can right click and select “Remote Control” retain bindings, while only the 3 Pro-channel do not. Why give these modules “Remote Control” at all if it doesn’t save them with a project file, seems a little crazy to me. Thanks again

I think the purpose for which you want to use Remote control is outside it's scope.
Certainly Remote control settings are not stored within an fx preset within the ProChannel or any other fx. They are stored in the .cwp file on a per project basis
I've got this information from about 15 minutes of scouring the Reference Guide for X3 Producer. There's no information specifically stating that remote control is available for ProChannel in the manner that you suggest. Perhaps if you revise that info it may make it clearer what you can and can't do. Sorry I m no real help.

So do I... This is why I'm so perplexed that “Remote Control” settings for ProChannel are available in the first place mudgel Certainly Remote control settings are not stored within an fx preset within the ProChannel or any other fx. They are stored in the .cwp file on a per project basis
Therefore IMO, the 3 Pro-channel Remote Control settings should be stored in the .cwp file as well. I only started saving the ProChannel preset because I could not get it to work (grabbing a straws really) mudgel I've got this information from about 15 minutes of scouring the Reference Guide for X3 Producer. There's no information specifically stating that remote control is available for ProChannel in the manner that you suggest. Perhaps if you revise that info it may make it clearer what you can and can't do. Sorry I m no real help.
You have been a big help :) I very much appreciate your input. Thank You muchly

So no one else finds it strange that the three ProChannel modulus listed below which have a “right click” “Remote Control” TAB option, do NOT retain there settings upon reloading a project?- QuadCurve
- PC76 Compressor
- Tube Saturation
