I've been listening to this song for days, and I can't get it out of my head.  You've got a winner here, Michael.  It's so unpolished I nearly fell out of my chair ;)

All the best,
Lynn

Have to say I was completely surprised. From the title I was expecting some hard rock or metal, but was rewarded with a listening treat.
I would love to produce an "unpolished" track to sound as good as this.
Cheers
W

thank you for your reply. I am glad that art can be spotted. You know art doesn't even have to be that good, but at least it is real. Good players on this track. That's the key. They are all friends of the composer and we all work together for very cheap. In other words, we are a rhythm section -the drummer, bass player, and myself, we all have played at each other's gigs and are very comfortable around each other. As a producer all I do is point when people feel they need a little help, the talent is theirs. The violinist is from South Korea, highly studied, but played all of this without notes. I just told him I wanted Hungarian Gypsy type violin and he went for it. I don't read music. Then it all fit into the mix. But, as I told others, it is the only song on the CD like this.

What you call "unpolished", I call "real" and "human". The mix sounds very strong to me, without the overindulgences that Sonar can make seem too tempting.

thank you for your commentss

Very well done. I would keep making these "unpolished".

thank you. And I agree with John Wayne and know that this is true by personal experience.

Well, Michael, I think it's obvious our interpretation of "raw and unpolished" is a little different than most.  Mine included.      Overall I think fits in great along with everything else I hear around these parts.

But mix aside, it was the song + performances that really stood out for me.   Just a really cool world/pop/alt vibe, with bits and pieces from, well, all around the world!   The violin in particular gave me a very strong oriental vibe that I thought was perfect.

Good to see ya around!
