Bristol_Jonesey Norrie - if weight/load distribution is worrying you - check out SOS. Unsurprisingly, both Paul White & Hugh Robjohns also found this to be a problem and they worked out a way to apply a simple mod to the SE Hardware so that the centre of balance changed, making the whole thing a lot more mechanically stable. If I get a chance, I'll try and do a search. Hey man I actualy have that article in the mag here aswell it was a good read! Before I had seen that though I had already built up my own design useing an old PA speeker stand and welding square bit of tubeing in to the top of it so the RF can mount to that http://www.flickr.com/pho..9005534@N02/5283230286/ THis is the only half good pic I have of it at the momment I will get a close up for you to see but you should get from this what I meen :) Its now solid and Its doing a great job I even did a mod for my AER amp so I can use it for stage use it was nice and easy a bit of tubeing to fit tight in the top with a flat bar welded to it to sperad the weight across the bottom of the am and the same size thread put on to screw the amp on. The amps were designed to go on mic stands but I was always woryed about walking in to it so this works great :) I dont have pic but I will get one for you. :) Norrie

Beagle musicman100 MY HOMEMADE REFLECTION BOOTH mm - care to share your design and fabrication? Beagle, the dimensions were based on an article another musician showed me in regards to wavelengths and frequencies and standing waves in regards to mic placement . I have lost the article since then but the radius and size are based on that. the frame is aluminum stripping the horizontal members and channel the vertical members pop riveted together with an extruded aluminum backing . The foam may not be Ethan Winer approved but was chosen for its absorption.. cost of the materials was less than $50.. does it work ? yes it does one day I will do some audio clips with and without

You want to see the contents of my loft!! I think I've still got all the original boxes from the days when I was mainly hardware/outboard based. I must get around to putting some of it on Ebay. You've just inspired me. I can see the day approaching when I'm going to have to replace my DAW. But cash is a bit tight at the moment, so anything I can do to bolster our funds is a bloody good idea, and selling that lot might raise 50% of what I need. You know, I just love the forums!!!

Beagle how did you form the radius on the frame? Since it was aluminum, it formed fairly easy .. bit I had a large barrel that was fairly close to the radius ..
