Very nice and relaxing piece.  Everything is put together well and it builds nicely.  I really like the reverb on the piano.

James, Larry

A beautiful peace, very dreamy, very evocative.

I hear what others are saying about the mix, but I think it works perfectly for this style and approach - to my way of thinking the whole 'feel' is much more important than presenting the song as just solo instruments over a backing track.

A triumph for me is how you've got quite a lot going on here, but the mix is so delicate and airy... that's a rare talent you have there James.

Thanks Jeff!

Thank you too Philip!

Hey Kenny, me too, I like it a lot. I'll email you a pic or two later today.

Thanks Guitartrek, much appreciated. I like that piano too, it's 'Alien piano 1' from Dim Pro 'Dimensions'. It's got a huge reverb on the patch which wouldn't suit everything, but fitted great here.

Steve, I'll be smiling all day after that, thanks very much! You hit the nail right on the head there,

the whole 'feel' is much more important than presenting the song as just solo instruments over a backing track.

that's exactly how I was approaching this mix.

Echo what everyone else has said.  Very nice song.  The "Alien Piano" is a nice choice.  The drums backing work really well too.

There is a booming quality to the bass at certain notes, that I can verify.

This is one of you guys' nicer tunes for sure. The acoustic didn't work for me, not sure why. Maybe too much room, or it was strummed too hard?

But as usual, I am green with envy on what you two accomplish.

Gentlemen,
Good to hear some SMB again.  Nice piece of work.  I especially like the change at 1:03-ish.  Very nice chord progression and lead interaction, very appealing to my tastes.  Great tune, the mix sounds very good on my end and I like the sprinkling of piano throughout and the ramp up of the drums towards the end.  Acoustic guitars are pristine and well played.  The electric guitars are tasteful, melodic and well played.  The bass stands out on this one for me also.  Great all around tune and just the kind of fresh offering my ears needed tonight.  Thanks!  Hope you are both doing well.

I took another listen and I love the song but I still hold my ground with the mix .
I found myself having to turn down my volume toward the end because it got so loud on me and boomy sounding .
It's close but not where it should be , I do like the song .

Thank you Vicente, that's kind.

Hi James - I've no doubt there's a booming in the low frequencies. The bass flies out of the window in this room so I overcompensate, which is why I mix through 'phones..except they're broken. Glad you liked the tune.

Very generous comments Tony, thanks very much indeed!

Thanks Grant! Don't fall asleep now...

You guys do nice work! I am a little partial to world music, it's one of my favorite genres. Well done and well mixed IMO.

It's uncanny that I also took a picture of a road as an album cover and posted it on my music page.

Very nice, boys...  I like how it's contemplative and slow, and yet has movement, especially in the second half.  A lovely arrangement.

Larry I took a third listen , this time listening through my new M-Audio monitor speakers .
I take back what I said before , your mix does sound good !
My new monitor speakers handles all the highs and lows , my cheap $14.00 headphones doesn't and thats what threw me off .
At night living in my apartment I try not to piss off the people living around me , I listened to through my headphones at night .

Sorry for the twist and turns , may we both rest in peace my friend . I thought the mix sounded great using my monitors !

Just beautifully played and recorded.  It gives you a good feeling to listen to it.  It doesn't get any better than that!
