The data in the DPro installer has not changed in years. Any version from around X1 to now is the same synth and content. The EAP releases are removed when the production installers become available. The ezine has the details regarding the current release.

Thanks... That's what I thought, but... Now I see that part of the issue might have to do with the two different licenses I have for DP... One when it was purchased and another when it was bundled... It seems that only the newer "purchase" relates to CCC... and I seem to have downloaded the earlier "purchase"... I can't download it again now as the 3G download is extremely difficult for me, but it's a bit un-nerving that the first purchased version doesn't have the same update as the more recent one... When I can managed another download like that I will get the newer update, but it is a very tiny difference as far as the numbers are concerned. One ends in 13 and the other 16... I wonder how important that update is for me? ;-) Thanks again Steve...

John T I wish my life was so simple and free of trouble that menu options in applications that I don't use were what angered me. Until such a state of grace arrives, though, I have to say, I find it impossible to take seriously people who appear to be grown-ass adults carrying on like this.
THERE, I'VE SAID IT.
Wholeheartedly agree! Op has to be a teenager or younger for this kind of drama over a menu item :) .....and my apologies to younger folks. Most of them are more mature then this.......

I don't mind paying for Sonar but when it starts trying to force people to buy into 3rd party software or a subscription services, I don't deal well with it, Period. 16 was created to handle specific issues with the Command Center. There has been no change to DPro and its content for many years. You may have several different authentications for DPro because of the way Cakewalk handles bundling DPro with SONAR. Any serial number/registration code pair with a serial number staring with CWDM150 should work.

The Grim you can think what you like, i might think you are just a fanboi? so what? and as i said above it is more than just the menu entry it is the .exe in shared utilities, which may not bother some, but let me ask, would you be happy having people just dropping/installing .exe's on your system? forget it is cakewalk, just say it was some random. plus it is said it was seperate install and has been said no landr stuff would be installed without your consiously doing it
I have to ask why does it bother you? I didn't even notice it and guess what I still haven't looked for it. But more importantly don't call anyone a name. Fanboi is a disrespectful name. Calling anyone on this forum a name is contrary to the CoC. A tempest in a teacup. Much ado about nothing. I'm glad that is the only thing you have to worry about.

Will the new VST3's be installed in the path that I specify in CCC when in verbose mode? From a previous experience loading the Rapture Pro VST3, this specified path was ignored, and Rapture Pro VST3 was installed in a completely different, presumably default, directory.

The current Command Center does not have an option to specify a VST3 plug-in path. Cakewalk uses the VST3 specification recommendations WRT path.

So I guess that's why you're using SONAR instead of Pro Tools . SONAR doesn't force people to buy into 3rd party software. Whether to buy something or not is your choice alone. And the only kind of "subscription" that forces you to do anything is one where your software won't work if you don't pay up. That's not how Cakewalk rolls.

I do not get the LANDR hate :P. I mean it is something I can't see using, but so what? Sonar comes with a lot of things I don't use. Doesn't hurt anything.

VST3 spec dictates the location for the .vst3 files.

I had the dropouts on midi as well. I changed the midi playback buffer to 500. That seemed to cure the problem for me. As was suggested in an earlier post, changing the mode to non-linear, allows operation a 0 latency. Gradually figuring things out here. It's really an excellent EQ and Multiband.

I rarely post regarding updates, but this time the updates to the LP EQ and MB Compressor are worth a mention. I've been waiting for these since the first hint of them a couple of months ago. The compressor, in particular, has been a mainstay on my Master Bus since I first installed it way back when..... It's such a useful plug-in, and now I can see many more uses. It also seems a little less CPU intensive too which is a bonus on my 32bit install. I may even be able to use it on individual tracks as well. Well Done.

Thanks so much for this post. I've been playing around with the LP EQ for many days, and it's sweet. But I frikkin' couldn't find the LP MB until I saw this. The EQ is in my VST2 folder, but the LP MB is in my VST3 folder in a sub menu??? I have some serious house-cleaning to do.

Both the new plugins have issues... :
The EQ crash on my system fails to load, and blank screen as you describe it.
EDIT : The MB Compressor silent's the audio, when used in a project with softsynth's But not when i tested it with one, stereo file in a new project
need bug fixes...
The TH3 seems to work so far..

The new LP MB and LP EQ plugs look great. I love the way they are set up. From what I can tell, they sound great, too. Unfortunately, I can only use it in non linear or low mode. Anything else causes stuttering totally bogged down audio. My system isn't the most powerful but, I think it's pretty average and it's a shame these new plugs won't work correctly. (Intel i5, 8 gigs of RAM, NVidea G620 video card) I'm hoping Cake can optimize these and make them useable on average systems like mine (And many others I would suspect).

In Linear mode they are Mastering style plugins (obviously). What has been your experience using then on a single Imported Mixed down track? Or is the issue that you are using them at the end of a project that has a number of other plugs/synths?

Yes, I am very disappointed about the new plug ins. Haven't heard much about a solution other that upgrading the drivers on the graphics card or in my case, getting a new laptop altogether. Not gone do it. All the updates worked great last year on my system so I don't know what's the difference in these new EQ's. Hard to believe after the in-house testing and the early release it still checked out. Everyone gave it a thumbs up, yep, we're good on graphics let 'er rip! LOL! I'm just picturing a programmer with a few nuts and bolts still in his hands scratching his head. These guys are WAY smarting than I'll ever be and I'm sure it's a difficult thing to pull off but I bought something you were selling and I'm disappointed it's not working. Still love my Cake! Cheers.

Wow. That sounds like a big issue then as your specs should be more than adequate to run such a feature set.

Yeah, there's something other than pure available resources coming into play... I'm able to run both plugins using the specs shown in my signature. The non-LP mode of course does run "cleaner" on my system, but as long as I'm not making constant adjustments even in LP mode they work well and the UI displays nicely. Hopefully the bakers can figure out where that commonality lies...
