SONAR 2017/02 Early Access
When I opened it for the first time, I was immediately surprised by how snappy and fast the project load time was for a project with 37 tracks, 16 buses and about 50 plugins. I'm mighty impressed just out of the blocks on this one. Cakewalk continues to deliver with more improvements. Bit by bit, step by step, slowly but surely. Back to the grind stone and see what this baby can do.

THis is what I got also, minus the "clips" thing that tells you what automation you are looking at. Also midi ins and outs where strange. The solution was to pull each track down individually and then set it back to normal. Everything looks good then. A lot of busy work. Re setting the mid only takes a click or two, but I'm worried about what I did not notice. Also I was recording a drummer and the recording went fine , but Sonar was showing me it was looping the 1st 15 measures or so. I thought the take was going to be bad, but like I said it was OK. After that session I rolled back to 2017.1

chuckebaby tried to help, so I have to say thanks for that. What you are looking at is Track View. The meters show up, but not the Track Name,

I thought it might have been a corrupted download so I did a few rollbacks & er's again. Each time the rollbacks worked & appeared normally while the er's all had these gui errors.

Me too with the track view odd presentation - happens below the screen when scrolled up, the tracks that appear from the bottom look like the pics above. Also a project that I'm working on now says it can't find the LP64 upon open - but I've never used it in my life.

2017.02 is still not showing up for me. I updated the Command Center, went to Settings then Check Now, then right clicked Platinum, then Rollback, and the last update shown is 2016.12 - it's just not there. No one else has had this problem?

Another thing I see since this update. I have an 8x8 usb midi interface that I connect 4 bcf2000s to and use the mackie controller dll as I always have. Today, twice, all the bcf2000s that are on midi I/O 1,2,3 & 4 have moved in preferences to 5,6,7 & 8 for the inputs and 8,7,6,5 for the output pins. Setting them back to 1,2,3 & 4 for the ins and outs gets me back going again but I suspect the following may be broken a bit? Fixes & EnhancementsMIDI Port assignments are now saved with the project and will map to the same device on another machine

Since this most recent update, My control surface in/outs have been different and non-sensible each time I have opened a project and restarted Sonar Plt. Certainly not the way I saved them globally, or for a particular project. Easy to fix and then they work correctly, but very different behavior since updating.

You could go to your account/My Products page and download it there Declan. Just run the installer manually.

Thanks Bruce, I'd already tried to do that, but I just found out my membership had expired because there was a "chargeback" on 11/25 on my lifetime membership purchased on 8/31 and I have no idea of what happened. My membership in SPLAT still shows thru 2037. I was not informed about this "chargeback" and I'm... freaking out. I sent them an email. Argh.

Exactly my thoughts Rob. Ths is a big deal for anyone that already uses complex mapping on more than one system. I was nervous as soon as I saw this on the list - windows midi device assignment is a complex beast to tame! A part of me thinks it is best left alone. Anyone that needs to do this more than likely already has a system. Definitely a post tour update:)

I also had an issue with MIDI port assignments of pre 2017.2 ER track templates and projects into the 2017.2 ER. I have already posted the issue in the problems reports forum. The bakers are looking into it See: http://forum.cakewalk.com/Early-release-20172-issue-m3565525.aspx?tree=true
