If that's the case, where do I find Everett.0?  I went to install last night and it did not give me any options.  I just assumed that Everett was Everett, (at this point).

The drum map is now staying attached when you save the track Template  but in Piano view it not showing the attached drum map. Anyone else have this problem?

I just created a new project, added a drum map to a track. I could see it in piano view, there's probably more detail you need to tell us about track templates. Might be better if you provide full step by step details from a new project that we can follow, in a brand new thread so we don't hijack this one.

Everett.0 was broken.  You don't want that one.

I seem to be having that issue too. So far I haven't had much luck with drum maps... They either duplicate themselves or just don't work.

Unfortunately I had to sit through eleventeen "check for updates" searches!

I may have misunderstood what you meant, but...
If you select the top level (Sonar Platinum) instead of the individual items under it, then hit "update" CCC does all of lower-level updates in one go.

Last time it worked. I happened to be in CCC when the update hit. If i recall, I saw some red just as I hit the X.....while it was checking for updates( i thought I was caught up). Note to self - let check for updates finish before closing CCC, just in case!

I am blaming myself for this one.

I'm a little concerned about Baker Burnout at this rate. However if sales are good and Gibson is putting it's full financial and moral support behind the Cake department hopefully they are hiring new staff and managing time/resources effectively while letting the Bakers do what they do best.

I do not feel like Roland was really doing that and things were stressed and spread too thin.

I've seen quite a few "new" Baker handles (or older ones I've never seen before) on the forum so it does feel like the Cake staff is becoming more robust. They seem much happier and more enthusiastic this past year which is always a good sign. I'd imagine the fact most of us users seem to be happy is rather encouraging as well. I know I'm a lot happier than I was a couple short years ago.

You certainly have a massive talent pool shuffling around these here parts. I do not have the education nor background to apply (and I'm a gimped out Canucker so no Boston for me... lol) so I'll just stick to armchair quarterbacking. If you are ever hiring crazy people to dream up bizarre workflow schemes and improvements delivered in vague, long winded and meandering stream of consciousness rants... I'm your man.

Personally, I think the Bakers may be relieved that they can get fixes out faster and reduce the amount of sharp criticisms from any oopses. I like the more scrummy-type incremental rollouts.

The only thing I wish CW would do is maintain a locked forum thread detailing one page of all the updates since X(4) was released, subversions, patches, etc. and then possibly add links under each version/subversion/patch that takes you to another page/thread detailing the fixes, improvements, etc. I'm used to seeing (networking) companies, such as Cisco Systems, who show all versions, create PDF docs of each one's Release Notes, and then point out deprecated versions, stable versions, latest version, bleeding-edge, etc.

I think it's valuable to see the iterations. It used to be a sign of bad work to show many Rev's in product lines, but in today's software worlds, especially Apple's software, swift and frequent updates and revisions are welcome. I think it would be quite helpful and proud to show the iterations of the latest Sonar on one thread page. It could potentially help people keep track how far behind in versions they are (assuming the name/versions were cross-reference-able)

Yes. That would indeed be nice and I think with the new model they could post such a thing with extreme pride. It would certainly reassure new customers that development and maintenance is thriving in Cake land as well as help dumblebutts like me who get preoccupied with other things and can't always keep up on every little thing that gets done.

Seriously... after a few years of obsessively scouring the forum, tuts and manuals I'm actually getting stuff done so I've been missing a lot lately. A very good thing but I'm no longer as "in the loop" as I was before. lol

Probably more about the Instruments department. Zeta and the like are cross platform and quite popular in the Mac crowd. Could be though that there is a push on for Sonar Mac by Gibson but if there is the Bakers are being very quiet about it and I don't blame them. It could take a looong time to port and personally as a PC user I could see it mangling the working platform we already have. I have no intentions of using a Mac any time soon so I would hate to see things get all weird because of that.

Unofficially though Sonar works well under Boot Camp. Quite a few folks have said so.

What I would REALLY like is if Sonar worked under Linux. Just thinking about that is making my pants tighter.
