I cannot tell what state your C3 is in from the description provided. You may be able to reinstall or at least rollback and roll forward to Foxboro.

Thanks for the reply. In the right-click rollback list for Sonar versions in CCC the latest version showing now is 21.4.0.30 (Everett update 1). I guess I'll try reinstalling that and see if Foxboro appears again after that's done.

It sounds like C3 thought Foxboro was installed. You could have manually run the installer again from the download cache. Rollback and roll forward should work too.

I also have a problem with sonar Platinum, the Foxboro update did not work I'm still stuck on the last version. I have not had any problems with the other update at all,I tried to reinstall everything and that did not work either. I'm  running windows 8.1 on an Intel core i7-4770 @3.40ghz 64bit.

If I knew how. Anyway Foxboro did reappear in the version list after reinstalling Everett so I'm sorted now. Cheers.

Click on the System button(the gear) in the CCC and it will show the file path where the CCC caches the actual updates prior to installation. You can also change this location.

Strum Session 2 did not install.  No sign of it in the plugin manager.  I use the CC default settings for VST's.  There might additional items missing.....I'm still checking.

Did you install the Platinum Instrument Collection and run a vst scan?

Yes, that solved the problem.  I have so many items installed from previous versions of Sonar, I'm sometimes reluctant to tamper with what might result in new paths and problems.  Thanks scook.

Is there a difference between the Melodyne essentials 2.1.2.002_c3 install and the 2.1.2.002_1.0.0.7 install?

Just thought I would ask.

Melodyne did not change. There are some new installers for the new C3. The only installers with Foxboro updates are noted in http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3247552

I have not yet loaded the past 2 monthly updates. I do not use Command Center, and I perform my updates offline for reasons beyond the scope of this forum message.

Do I need to individually load all previous updates that I have not yet loaded, or is it necessary to load the most recent update only?

Updates are cumulative.
Identify the installers which have changed since your last update and grab the current versions.

Ok the upsample thing could be really cool. I read the pdf and see where to enable it. However I did not see where to specify the higher sample rate for the upsample.

It automatically doubles the project sample rate. The sample rate can be specified, see the "Upsample Settings" section in http://www.cakewalk.com/D...mp;help=Mixing.25.html

I totally agree that Sonar needs an update all button and the scan each time is driving me nuts. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the updates but isn't there someway one could select all the requires updates instead of this backwards and forwardsing???

Re: SONAR "Foxboro" update now available 2015/07/01 07:43:02 (permalink)
My only issue with the regular updates it that every time we install an update Sonar forgets everything about the configuration and resets it back to default. At least with regard to the locations of the files etc.

I keep most settings at default except where the projects are stored so its not too big of a deal but still... Plus I know others are much more affected by this...

So far, it's not working.
...
[font="verdana, geneva; font-size: medium; line-height: 1.8"]the BSOD appeared and my system rebooted. Admittedly, I had a few other apps open, including Excel. However, that never caused problems before.

Sorry to hear that.

If you are experiencing Blue Screens, that indicates a system driver issue.  You can check your event logs in Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer.  Once open, click on Windows Logs and have a look at what's in System.
System crashes will be logged there and you can find out what driver is associated with that.  Also, general system issues will be logged there.

For Blue Screen errors, in particular, look for a Source of BugCheck.  It may tell you where a dump file was saved. Then, you can use a viewer like this:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

Armed with that info, you can see if the driver vendor has an update for what had the fault.
I would resolve that issue first before working on other potential issues.

How can I update offline, can i download the update to a memory stick and install it on my studio pc?
Also do I have to wait to be prompted by sonar to reactivate at the end of each month?

Platinum Pro Package will not install (everything else does) and I see no such package in the download section. Spent hours last night.

Uninstalled clean including registry and even X3a in case it was causing a conflict and a lot of other things to try to get it to install.

Also, how do you unhide hidden products (easily to accidentally hide them

I searched but search is not working for any words, even one word on the latest Google Chrome for me and not in Internet Explorer either because I have to stay on Explorer 9 because of software I use on this computer. Explorer 9 does not like this forum.
Still search problems with Google Chrome? hmmm...

Google forget the internal search. The issues aren't really browser specific and if they do does not make much difference.

Re: SONAR "Foxboro" update now available 2015/07/02 09:18:45 (permalink)
Lance, this, from Kamikaze, needs to be a Sticky. I'll put it in the next post. Good work finding it. Thanks! I didn't realize I could hide things, just ignore the things that are now irrelevant like Rapture and DIM Pro. I install one thing and move to the next. Some things that I don't install remain red and I have installed a couple of things I normally wouldn't have just so the red light would go away, hiding (then unhiding now and then just to check) would be a better option. I don't know how I missed this, not paying attention, not reading everything probably. You know how it is, the manual is sometimes the last option. Sort of like a map once you're REALLY lost. So, thanks again!
J

Anyone trying this, you have to have Show hidden folders shown in you windows option. This is a fairly new laptop and I hadn't got round to setting that yet.

There seems to be an XML file for each Programme in Command Centre
AD2
Sonar
D-Pro
Rapture
Melodyne

Looking through the States of the various files there are the following options.
HiddenNotInstalled
HiddenInstalled
Installed
NotDownloaded

So in typing this I've actually  answered the question I was going to ask. You simply remove the word 'Hidden', not the whole entry for the State so 'HiddenNotInstalled' would become 'NotInstalled'.
