SPLAT Boot up issues

Suddenly I'm having issues with booting up SONAR. Mind you, this is on a normally rock solid system. When I shut down SPLAT for the day, and then start it up again, I'm getting this message:
C:\Program Files\SONAR Platinum\TTSLame.dll is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0x0000020.

Reinstalling the program fixes the issue for awhile. I might get away with closing the program and reopening it a couple of times over the course of the day, but eventually it comes back to this. Once I uninstall / re-install, it works perfectly until the next time.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

Is your Windows machine fully patched? (for the 1607 branch).    I know this is a bit of an ask, but I am wondering if it's worth installing the Creators Update - though there are likely many people who running Sonar on the Windows 10 1607 branch with no issues.

Funny you should ask. This machine wouldn't complete the installation of the Creators update. Since everything was working OK, I didn't worry about it. I might have to re-visit that decision.

Thanks for the info. I got a couple of bits of information from it that might be useful. I've already created a backup folder of the Cakewalk program folder as well.

    yes indeed,
I think I saw another thread on this just a few days ago as well.
Reinstalled Sonar that seemed to have solved the problem but im guessing it will probably rear its ugly head again soon.

This machine wouldn't complete the installation of the Creators update.

This would indicate a fundamental issue with your windows configuration.  On a properly configured Windows 10 machine, the installation of the Creators Update should go smoothly.  You might want to tackle this issue before proceeding with any Cakewalk troubleshooting.

You may (or may not) be correct about there being an issue with my Windows installation, but that aside, this system has been rock solid for months. Also, I seriously doubt that the two issues are related. After a little further testing, it seems that the problem occurs when a project is saved and then you exit SPLAT. Opening the program again results in the error. Copying a fresh version of the C:\Programs\Cakewalk\Sonar Platnium folder from my "rescue" folder fixes the issue. It's an inconvience for sure. The only two things which have changed recently were the addition of drivers for the M-Audio Trigger Finger Pro, and the installation of the VS700 plugin so that the Trigger Finger Pro can communicate with SPLAT in Mackie mode. I've since removed the VS700 plugin. I'm currently considering rolling back to the 06/2017 release just to see what happens. I appreciate you guys taking time to advise me.

Just a follow up: I haven't had anymore issues since removing the VS700 driver from my system. I don't know if the two are related, but it seems that I'm back to normal. My only issue now is that I can't seem to get my M-Audio Trigger Finger Pro to connect to SPLAT as a control surface. In the words of Roseanna Roseannadana, "it's always something!"

On my Windows10 x64 system the vs700 driver is installed. This can not be the problem.
I sold the device, but the driver is still installed.

I suspect that you are right, that the two aren't actually related. Coincidence? I don't believe in them, so I'll keep watching and see what happens.
