Hi Shad - Sincere thanks and so pleased you like these forays into the New Age / Ambient genre. Doubly appreciated from a composer and musician of your excellence. There is a small possibility at the moment that Sacred Stone may be the opening piece for a major international pop festival on my little Isle in the Autumn - now wouldn't that be great! We shall see!

Hi Scotty - Sincere thanks and so pleased you like these new pieces. No doubt when Miriam returns from her holidays I will have to write something for her just to keep her quiet - not easy! Forest Kingdom certainly has a lot of interesting sounds and currently I am using its Kiowa Flute to write a new piece. What is odd is that no matter what I write for that Native American Flute, it all sounds Celtic! Perhaps it's just me!

Love the percussion work. Reminds me of a Cirque Du Soleil soundtrack. Mix sounds great love the space its sitting in really adds depth. KUDOS! Kev

Hi Rik - Sincere thanks - Yes, the piece is even better with your guitar overlay - love what you did and I have said so on your thread! Hi Scotty - So all we now need to decide is if the Celts were really Native Americans or if the Native Americans were really Celts! I think my brain hurts! Hi Kev - Sincere thanks - that bass drum was so powerful I had to really spread the mix very wide to ensure it didn't (totally) overpower everything else. Or perhaps that constant thud in my brain was due to too many beers! Hi Guitarpima - Sincere thanks and I very much take your point about an apocalyptic movie scene. I suppose I'm a bit late writing this piece now that we have all survived the "end" of the Mayan calender! Oh well, no doubt another apocalypse will turn up soon!

Hi Steve - Sincere thanks and so pleased you like this and Rik's development of this piece. I just wish I had have thought of doing what Rik added when I originally wrote this piece! But then I will never ever be able to notate the magic that artists like you and Rik create. I wish!

Hi Daryl - Sincere thanks. I do understand your Peruvian comment. In Sacred Stone, I use the Moseno Flute (Bass) which is from Bolivia. In Desert Nomad in addition to the Moseno Flute I have used Pan Pipes which I suppose you can take as either Greek or South American! Also in Desert Nomad is the Raj Nplaim Flute from Laos (which to me sounds a bit like Bagpipes), so I am definitely trying to span the Globe!

Last week I stood in a stone circle just outside Keswick, Castlerigg quite inspiring as it appears to stand within a circle of mountains. Both impressive pieces Malcolm thanks for sharing

Hi Frank - Sincere thanks and so pleased you like these pieces and the video - the video took quite a while to create with my very basic software - photos are OK but one day I must get myself a proper video camera - and a helicopter and film crew! Hi Wookiee - Sincere thanks. I envy you having been to Castlerigg. I have only every seen photos and would love to experience it myself. Who knows what inspirations might appear!

Here are two songs that are different but similar. They both convey a calmness in a very atmospheric way. The individual components stand out while blending perfectly together. Great engineering, iow. Your consistency is just superb. Great job, Malcolmb.

Hi Mark, Lynn and chasmcg - Sincere thanks and your comments deeply appreciated from musicians of your excellence. Mark - I know exactly what you mean about how a piece can begin to drag if you are not careful. I don't know about "masterful"! Doesn't sound like me at all! I just have such a low boredom threshold that waiting for the kettle to boil is agony! So I do try to keep my music interesting. Hopefully!

Hi Markno999 - Sincere thanks and so pleased you enjoyed this piece. Moors are fine. But if I had a choice between cold, damp, soggy, windswept moors and warm Texas prairies, I know which one I would pick!

Hey Malcom! I'm such a fan of your "Who Will Buy" tune and have been whistling on it ever so often since I first heard it. So it was with great anticipation I listened to these two pieces of music you've made and I have to say - I'm still a fan of your work! It's subtle, modest and intimate but never dull. Well done! I love the way you use the sounds in this library. Great production quality! Looking forward to your next adventures

Hi Marius - Sincere thanks. Adventures? Now there's a thought! Oh for the energy! Interesting you should mention "Who will Buy". A few months ago I was contacted by a "script writer" who asked permission to use the song in his new musical. Assured me the musical which is a Victorian Murder mystery involving Flower Girls (!) would be an absolute certainty to be a major hit in London's West End and he was already in talks about it becoming a Film! Really? We shall see, but I am sure I just saw several Pigs fly past my window! I never knew my real name was Malcolm "Gullibility" Brown! Hi Mark - Sincere thanks. I suppose that is what writing music is all about to me. A few moments of peace. I just wish those people who write the software we use would understand this as screaming at the computer and tearing my hair out at its insistence in making a cello sound like an ostrich with stomach acid is not conducive to calm!
