i like the vibe of this one....
lots of cool open notes, ringing in space...
very smooth.

nice elec gtr harmonies in the intro.....
sets the mood right away, using the heavier guitar parts instead of just going acoustic.
for some reason, that electric harmony portion reminds me of a scorpions tune.

i like how it never rushes, very reflective.

i like the bow sounds on the violin parts...

acoustics are nice and clean, then the electrics have a nice body to them.
nice work!

I like how you changed the mood in this one without changing he music. I takes on a couple of different persona's throughout.  Relaxing while I'm enjoying this. Nice playing!

I like instrumentals like this. Great song.

Something is going on with this forum.  I KNOW I commented on this track before. Yet no post appears. Anyone else experiencing that?

That being said: the twin guitars are terrific, well played and have great complimentary tone.

That acoustic was super thin and high. I can see it in the parts where the piano was playing along, where you need some contrast, but the beginning it could use some more depth.

I would think of maybe adding some atmosphere, either some real low pad or sound effect/wind during the long passage from 2:05 to 3:00.

You have an issue with the transition at 1:51, something really odd happens there.

And that acoustic may should have the HPF lowered on it some, it feels a little thin.

Herb,

I had played this awhile back but somehow lost my auto log-on and password here at home so I was unable to comment at the time.

All of the above, nice vibe, nice mix of driven guitar and melodic sweetness.  While I'm an old steel player, I thought it detracted from the vibe of this tune.  I would rather have heard you do some guitar work in place of that.

But, well done.

The violin and guitar are lovely. The recording is clear and the mix is good. Everything is "in" the mix.
