Keeping up with Bapsi, impossible! No Yes in '70, but how 'bout Alice Cooper Jan 16 & 17 at the Rose Palace? Messiah opened, fiddle thru a Marshall Stack; different. War and Lee Michaels; oh yeah E. Burdon might have been singing for War T

yorolpal When I saw Yes in concert...must have been 71 or 72 a little band that had only a minor charting tune was the opening act...they were called IIRC The Eagles. Now that's creative booking. I first saw them in 1973 and Poco was the opening act. I actually went to see Poco. A buddy of mine pushed me to go see a concert by this amazing band called "Yes." I had heard their tunes on the radio but I loved country Rock. Anyhoo, I left with my jaw dragging the floor. They were amazing. And yes, Poco was great as well. But waayyyyy mis-booked.

I'm loving this. I have all the other Scarbee basses and this one sounds great IMO. Too bad I'm not in any position to splash $100 right now.

Mixmkr, Love the color of that Ric. I have often thought about taking the chrome pickup hand rest off mine. Not sure how difficult that is.

gustabo mixmkr Does the vsti have this? According to the interface pic, it does, in the form of a switch. From the manual (free dowload from the NI product page) Three different pickup settings allow for very different timbres. The bass was recorded using the famous 'Rick-O-Sound' stereo outputs. The palm-muted Rickenbacker® sound also present in RICKENBACKER® BASS was very difficult to capture and required some extra care, as the palm pressure changes the pitch and also affects the overall muting level. The result is an amazingly fat sound that, when using the neck pickup setting, resembles a synthesizer bass....................................... Rick-O-Sound Switch: The Rick-O-Sound feature allows for stereo panning of the Neck and Bridge pickups. This creates a very fat sound. In this mode the Amplifier (see section ↑2.4, The Amplifier for details) works in stereo. To enable the Rick-O-Sound feature, set the switch labeled RICK-O-SOUND to the ON position.

Those videos posted above are awesome. I've got Trilian for many of my bass options, but this Rickenbacker is an absolute must have. It really covers a lot of expressive capabilities, brilliantly, and effectively.

Rick, My DL link and serial number came in the same email. CORRECTION: I THOUGHT It did say that if you received the download link and no number you should receive a separate email with the serial number. What it says is that if you ordered more than one product it will come in different mails. Sorry for the confusion. Mike

I would not buy the Scarbee Rick until I'd had a chance to hear the upcoming OTS release. Greg's the champ at slides, and you've gotta get the slides right on any bass library. My coin jar's already earmarked for the OTS Rickenbacker - unless by some miracle SampleTank 3 beats it to market.
