Hummmm..... it may be the patch causing the big low end..... I also hear the physical sound of the hammers and dampers..... I heard it last night on the buds and I hear it on these speakers too. Listen to this song (it's on the songs page now)>>> http://www.soundclick.com...33&showPlayer=true I'm not trying to slam you.... just have a listen.... the EQ is pretty decent. The lows are full with out being mushy and the highs sound open and clear. You hear the notes not the mechanical sounds of the piano. The sample you used I think was probably recorded really close to the inside of the piano.... this one sounds like it was in the room. I have heard some really good piano from you in the past and Ivory should not have to be EQ'd all over the place to get a nice, sweet sound. Maybe try switching samples.

Thanks Herb. Not sure what's going on there. I took Ozone off the keys and just used Sonitus this time around. Thank you, Geno. Those pictures were great! My Sonitus reverb looks exactly like yours. I changed the sends a bit...more piano, less guitar. I hope that helps. The eq was quite similar too, but I changed it from Ozone to Sonitus. Hopefully that helps. Good, John. :) Thank you, Daryl. :) New mix up 9/9. Thanks so much, everyone! I'm still all ears...let me know how this translates.

Thanks Robby. I pulled the eq down on the whole track and more on the piano. Any more and it starts to sound dumb.

Janet, I didn't hear your previous mixes but this one sounds good. The piano is really full and clear Nice song and arrangement. The only thing that stuck out is it sounds like the guitar tonality suddenly changes around 2:43 like a different guitar, mike angle or EQ. Then at 3:02 it seems to go back to where it started. Really nice production. Regards

Hi Janet , I like this . I didn't know you were teaching piano , wish I had the money to take a few piano lessons . I remember taking a year of piano lessons when I was in the fourth grade from this older lady . I say old to me she was old at that age , maybe she was in her 40's or 50's but I swear she had gray hair . Once a week mom would take me downtown to this really old building , it was so old the stairs would creep going up them . There it was an old standup piano and hot! That half hour lesson seem like three hours because it was so hot in that room , no air just a fan with a window open . I ended up after going through two or three books dropping piano lessons for drum lessons in the same building . Anyway I wish I could take some lessons now , most of what I do is by ear and the few piano books I have to read and work with . You really know your piano , I enjoyed listening to this musical piece you played on your piano or was it on your keyboard ? As always your playing shines -James

I have always felt that when you bring together two outstanding artists, the resultant is usually a little bit more than the sum of the parts. In this case I was wrong. The resultant is an infinite and mighty magnitude of greatness beyond the sum - and the individual parts are awesome! This is a wonderful composition and a fantastic collaboration. Yes, I loved it!

I listened to this the other day, but didn't have time to comment. Seems like you've done a fair bit of work on this since as it sounds much better than I remember. I like all of it, but that opening riff is my favourite bit - so haunting.

Thanks Mark. I hadn't noticed that, but will look into it. Well, thanks, Rik. I might have another for you before long. :) (but you'll probably have 3 more done before I do, so don't sit around waiting.) Thanks James. Well, I wish I would have stuck to lessons longer than I did too. Oh well. This is my keyboard. Too many edits to do it on a real piano and I don't have one or know how to mic it anyway. Thank you, Vicente. I appreciate that. Thanks to Ashley, who at least gave me something to start with. Funny, though...now songs are bombarding my mind again. :) Still busy, but maybe I can do one now and then. Thanks to ya'll's good help, Ed. :) Thank you, S. Alf. I'm glad it's at least better. :) Thank you, Makke...I never did thank you for your comments on my last Silent Night song. I wasn't ignoring you (if you even remember it!) but by the time I remembered to thank you, it was on the 3rd or 4th page...and since it's not even near Christmas, it seemed funny to dig it up again. :) So, thank you late. :) Wow, Malcolm. Thank you! :) Really tickled that you liked it so much. Thanks Paulo. Fortunately that fair bit of work didn't take long. :) And yeah, she's got quite the knack for cool riffs. Hopefully she'll eventually want to finish one herself. :) Thanks, Lynn. Yee haw! :)

And now everyone loves it? You're welcome... (it does sound good/better to me) but hey? People suck? You can please some of them none of the time? We're all (rhymes with witches) we all like to witch? And we all have our opinions? And we don't always agree? Sometimes some of the witches like this or that? While other witches find fault with it? It's a tricky game... And you have to filter the input you receive from the witches? Because some of the witches hear things you don't... And some of the witches hear either things that aren't there, or they hear "the wrong things..." It's a tricky game? I do like this better :-) I'm going to have to go now? I have broom rash... I'm glad my witching could help polish this gem :-)

Hi Janet, Rik, your song is stunningly beautiful . I like the way the song has lots of coherent mini themes that play off each other . Melodically and harmonically every theme is in the right place at the right time . Rik your guitar sounds great on this . ! Bravo !...Kenny
