I get a bit of a Howlin Wolf vibe from this tune. Great harp playing, love the organ and of course the guitars have quite the bite! Drums and bass are perfecto!!!   lovin it!

Frank, when I hear something like this, it reminds me of a blues band I was in for a while. It was OK on the uptempo stuff, but when it came to a slow blues, it all fell down.

You have to be born to play this stuff, and you were. Effortlessly good.

Frank, another amaizing piece of work.  All of your stuff sound consistanly great.  Can you descirbe your basic setup for recording/mastering?  The final product always sounds as though I am front and center at a small bar enjoying great music and a cold one!  How do you create that atmosphere?

Ahhh, my first review of someone else's music on this forum -- glad I picked this one to start, 'cause now I gots the bloooz, in a good way.  This was really pleasing to listen to.  Although you have a lot going on simultaneously at times (at times I could hear harp, 3 guitars, an organ and an electric piano all playing together) it never sounds cluttered or overbearing to me.  I'm not familiar with your other works, but I'm assuming you did all of this yourself.  Very nice work, indeed!  If I had to search for some constructive criticism I'd say that the drums could sound a little more like a real drummer, assuming it's not a real drummer.  If it's a real drummer then he sounds just a little too much like a drum machine or a drum application like Session Drummer or one of the other drum apps.  This is a very minor quibble though, and I had to really search for it since everything really does sound so good.  Most folks probably would never notice it.

Mean, clean slide guitar work, man.  I really like some of the chord substitutions you used in the blues structure too.  And that ending -- killer ending!

Keep up the good work, bro!

Geez that sounds awesome.  I can't give any critique cause it sounds just perfect to me.  I don't know how you can improve that.  Do you record this stuff live with a full band?

Yes Frank, there is something different about the sound of this. Different than your usual mixes and different from any mixes. What did you do? New mic, new cables, Add more clutter in the bookshelves?

mmmmmmmmmmm..........................................I think I would cut out the organ part. The fast rotary (?) ends seem to somehow sound sometimes like a fast rattle snake (which is the only thing I can kind of compare it to). Unless there is some lead to that part, I think there is enough parts already in the song that the organ part sort of to me is not needed (plus the artifacts (?) of whatever it is doing at the end of phrases (chords).

Well, it is really not for me to say, but there is something there that perhaps, the song could also be called the rattle snake blues or something like that.

Note: this is only an opinion and is meant not to be noted unless anyone wants it to be noted. That is not my decision.

    Hi  Frank,

    Great playing and mix/production.

It's amazing to me that you can have so much great stuff going on with out the tune sounding cluttered.

Always a treat to hear you, no matter what instrument or style you're playing.

OK, Tanton, what's going on.  I commented twice and still doesn't show.  I'm going to push the post message button this time.   Oh what I was going to say is.  Knocked out tune.  I agree with the others that in the style of some of the great blues bands, you guys have a ton going on but it all fits in its space.  That's not the easiest thing to do.  (now, I push the post message button).  Ee'll see.......  Great job!
