Yeah Karyn. Buy two and send the extra one to me. Thanks, you're a sweetie to be sure. hmmm, You're either talking me into sending you one because they're great and you want one... or they're rubbish and you're doing me a favour taking it of my hands... I'm still no better off. (or Am I)

bapu Drew, is that one of those re-tunable thingies? When you flick the switch is gives your Am a nitrous boost, so you can take it to 11. Pretty much impossible to play Am in 11/8 time without it...

Oddly enough, my GAS is satisfied at the moment. I may have to get some picks and strings, but other than that, I'm a happy camper.

So if Bapu used one it would drop an entire octave down from one Am to the next?

Karyn I have iRig on order so my next purchase will be AmpliTube2 for iPod. I'm also seriously considering a pair of ribbon mics, but I'm not sure. They're £500 mics on offer @ 2 for £300... Advise anyone please? Would that be the pair of SE R1's from Digital Village? I've just bought a pair - I've tried them on vocals and they're ok, waiting to try them out on acoustic guitar, I'll let you know how I get on. You do need a pre-amp with a fair amount of gain. Talkign of which, my next purchase will probably be a dedicated pre-amp, something along the lines of this: http://www.dv247.com/studio-equipment/focusrite-isa-one-classic-single-channel-pre-amp--48366

Slugbaby For myself: 3 packs of guitar strings. Aiming high... So my boss phoned me up this morning. Out of the blue, he asked me to go to the nearest guitar emporium to buy a cheap PA setup for a large meeting room. As I'm spending his $1500, I chose a Shure 58. It was too easy to say "one with the on/off clip for him, and one without for me." So now I have a replacement for my less-than-stellar AKG dynamic mic. And I bought the 3 packs of strings (2 electric, 1 acoustic). Spending someone else's money on things you like is almost as good as spending your own.

I may have to upgrade or replace one of my E-mu cards. I haven't done any debug or swapping yet, so it's not definite. It looks like the outputs have died after 6 or seven years of use. I guess I can't complain about that. Or can I?
