Janet Sounds a lot more exciting than running a chain saw! When I lived in Southern California we loved to go to Knott's Berry Farm amusement park around Halloween. They would shut the park down to anyone under the age of 21 and bring in loads of actors and actresses to become "Knott's Scary Farm." They would use Hollywood effects so, if someone got shot, it really looked like it (pretty gruesome actually) but their main goal was to scare the snot out of anyone they could. We would always go with someone who gets terrified easily (because they ALWAYS picked on the weakest link). The scariest guy there though didn't really dress up or have to do much of anything. He simply wore blue jeans and a black t-shirt and walked around the park with a blank expression. Oh, and he carried a chain saw that he would rev-up whenever he got near a crowd. It was fun watching people who had just laughed off some frightening monster jump out of the way when this guy came through!

Of course the problem with this is when a phsyco says hey I know what's an easy way to kill a bunch of people. I'll go to Knot's o Halloween with my chainsaw, and no one will run.

I was playing music for a living, actually making really good money, and lived under the pattern of the local airport. I decided to get my PPL ticket. It was great fun. I have 2 hair raising tales that I won't relate here due to time & space. Both occurred at night. I really enjoyed it, but had no other purpose than fun. I had considered going for the instructor ticket so I could fly for free.... but that involved to many hours of expensive flying on my dime to get the hours needed. I did some aerial photography for a few people to pay for my hobby. However, after getting married, and buying a house..... my dollars were needed to pay for other things. Last time I checked on rental rates, the prices have excluded me from that style of entertainment. Now my biggest aviation thrill is either from a flight sim on the computer (I need to reload it and get back into it...maybe not, do I really need another time wasting distraction?... it probably won't run on my new computer OS anyway.) or from the takeoff roll on the smaller commercial jets when I have to fly somewhere.

One of my coworkers used to be a flight instructor. He also used to be a scuba instructor. If he'd of ever crashed in the water while training a flight student he could look at the student and say I've got this covered too.

My last flight I had a peculiar copilot. Everytime I looked to check something he had his hand on the throttle. After the crash as I looked down at the wreckage I thought to myself ...The afterlife isn't so bad.

Jon, are you meddling with this thread? That tree may have simply been obscured by clouds. The pilots may have pulled up at the last minute to avoid some animals. It may have simply been a momentary lapse of reason. I bet just before the pilot made the final cut he thought "Geez Katie... I wish you were here" Well, I finally ran out of ideas... I guess you could say I have hit the wall. Umagguma have some coffee now. best regards, mike
