After further tests all seems to be working fine no latency problems I've encountered ...yet

I'm very chuffed as the Akai EIE certainly is a nice bit of kit. All usb connections ..keyboard etc work fine from it.

It also looks good if your into that sort of thing.

I'm hoping I haven't spoke all too soon !

Glad you got it going.
I checked the specs, and the EIE and EIE Pro are very different machines.
What I was telling the other day would have been appropriate for the EIE Pro, but not for the EIE.
I hope I didn't steer you too far off track.

Having upgraded to a new PC running Windows 7 in the last few days...the AKai EIE is running fine with ASIO 4all drivers...

So I guess the problem with ASIO 4 all is that it doesn't really run on Windows XP. .? Well that's what I'm seeing.

Yes, if you downloaded the latest version this would be true. I'm sure they had XP drivers still on the web site somewhere.

Glad you are up and running. Asio4all can be can get you going in difficult situations or drive you nuts. I has done both to me.
