I myself am waiting on the next round of tablets to control SONAR.  As it is, the ipad uses wireless, which I don't really want to use.  So I'm thinking someone will actually make an android OS that does control for the PC like some music apps for the mac.  Plug and play.  It needs to be 10 inches (no jokes here) w/ usb.  I don't need a phone app (the damn thing would be too big), but it would be nice to have wireless for the internet.

If anything, SONAR should be all over a app like this, ready to launch as soon as honeycomb comes out and the hardware, too.  Watch the PC screen but have the Dock underhand on the tablet.  Something like that.

i agree totally AT - rather than consumer rubbish like Voicemail Recorder, CW should be working on Apple, Android and Windows Mobile apps to sync wireless/bluetooth devices with Sonar, as well as things like cut-down versions of Rapture or z3ta for the same.

From a purely buisness perspective, the introduction of new tech is only viable when followed by an identified market.  So contrary to the idea that programs like Sonar will be replaced, the tech will instead be fitted to the market (existing programs with a huge user base).  I see great things ahead for Sonar and the other major DAW's as new interfaces, controlers and stream lined performace tech is developed.

I dont'think screen will replace all the hardware (touch-sensitive faders, knobs), but the navigation screen. Look at all the issues w / X1 and the new look and interface mode - an integrated touch screen itnerface can remove a lot of people have problems, once they adjust.
