Wow! Cool! Maybe I'll have to get in line.

Do I have to tell them that I haven't even discovered half of what 6XL does yet though?

This is the beauty of the new version only coming out every two years or so Janet - we are sort of guaranteed to get a good two years using the new software and still be able to use stuff like Session Drummer from 6.

It seems to me that with the annual realease of SONAR there's a predictable cycle going on over there - they get their upgrade, spend three months getting used to it, three months whining about bug fixes, three months debating what should be in the next version and the three months posting threads about what will be in the next version!

When do they record anything

You don't need a Corvette just to get to work, a Corrolla will do just fine for a lot less.

I've noticed that.
Some of the most profound influences I've had were my high school art teachers, and I admire what you do.
Keep planting those seeds.

There ya go. If you learn something new every day, you don't need to make something up.
I was extermely fortunate to go to a high school in a district that appreciated the fine arts.
We had an entire building dedicated to the arts, with sound rooms, a state of the art theater(for the 70's), and virtually unlimitted supplies for graphic arts. My all-time favorite teacher, Mrs. Anderson, taught me the concept of "happy accidents".
Graphic arts are my main forte, watercolor in particular. It is an unforgiving medium. I would make a mistake, and she would make me step back, look at it, and find a way to make it work. She taught me not to draw within the lines, but to evolve as an artist, and for that I am forever grateful.
As a teacher, you are making a mark on your students. You may never see what they ultimately do, but rest assured that your influence is felt. Teach them well.

I've noticed you're quite the artist, Bob. That's amazing to be so good at more than one thing!

And yes, I appreciate inspiring teachers too, and try to be one. My favorite students ever were my two boys for 10 years (I learned more then than I ever did in High School I think!) But I pretty much like teaching anyone anything I can get my head around.

I'd also have to say again that if it weren't for you inspiring, knowledgeable and EXTREMELY helpful teachers here on this forum I wouldn't be making music today! Thanks once again!! Thanks to all of your help, I'm having more fun than I've ever had!

Rick--I guess mama didn't notice it was your birthday. I'm ashamed of myself!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope it was a blast. Sorry Rob was picking on you. And on your birthday at that! He's been pretty good here lately--hopefully he'll behave himself today.
