Sonar Home studio Giveaway

https://thesoftware.shop/cakewalk-sonar-home-studio-giveaway/#buy-now     ( Note you don't need to go here but you can go and thank them if you like)

Last day. ( note Jan 11 this is still working today so not sure what last day meant)
It works. I just did it and Home Studio is up and running using offline activation
 copy paste this;

3327-46FD-8F9A-BBC7

Here     http://www.cakewalk.com/Redeem?kl=16&promo=CM250

Pretty easy. I already have Home Studio so I had to log on with a different account otherwise it didn't work the first time. My other account has nothing in it. Now it has Home Studio , Rapture Session and Big Fish collection.  FREE.
I have a friend I'm going to set up with this.

 NOTE added Jan 11: This is still working and if you want a copy for a friend or you kids. Do this;
Log out of your Cakewalk account. If you have another account ( many of us do ) log on to that or simply create a new Calkwalk account. It's easy all you need is another email address... don't have one,, that's easy as well. anyhow. You can grab a few copies of these in about 5 minutes.

Thanks.

I have absolutely no idea what I would use it for as I already have discontinued Platinum but it had to be done for some reason. I'm not not sure you can install it alongside either.

Alex it's free and it's a better DAW than Mixcraft which people just paid $100 for. Don't matter if it's discontinued. They just updated it in October so it's pretty fresh and you'll not find a more mature DAW FREE. It's worth it just to use for working away from home on a gutless laptop like I do. I use it on W7 with asio4all. Over a year now , never crashes or goes weird. If they could make SPlat this stable they's have the perfect DAW.
I bought it on sale for $30 and my plan was to use it for live playback.
Now I have 2 copies which is totaly pointless because I can install my other copy on 8 computers and nobody cares. but it made me happy to get something like this free. It's on a different account so I can give it to a friend.

Yup!  Thanks for the heads-up!
Now, if I only knew how to get my latest .cwp re-mix into an mp3 (or even a wav) file, with midi and audio all included and mixed, I'd be an even happier camper!
Too bad about Cakewalk's ceasing operations.  I, too, have been a subscriber since Cakewalk was a midi sequencer back when, probably ver 3 or so.  Not a huge user, but with a dozen or so 20-year-old creations in the bag, I enjoy re-tweaking them from time to time, and I've always kept the updates reasonably fresh.  But, the longer one goes between uses and updates, the steeper the learning curve, and that's where I am now.  Have no clue how to consolidate my 15 midi and audio tracks into a single audio file.  Will keep trying though!
Good luck, great Cakewalk people.  Hope you all find new homes worthy of your extraordinary creativity and talents.

Geoff I sent you a PM with instructions on how to export your mix. I'm surprised you didn't know this after all those years as its always been the same. And Export is the same in all Sonar versions including Home Studio.

It is still working.

I received Home Studio added to my Cakewalk account. I'm now installing Home Studio to my laptop via CCC and also adding some of the other FX that I have in my account as well.  Since I only installed Sonar onto my DAW, it will be nice to have this version of Home Studio on my laptop to create as I am on the go and then be able to transfer the files to Sonar for later development.

Didn't Studio Instruments come with Sonar Home Studio?  I am not able to locate Studio Instruments when I look for my Virtual Instruments.

I installed CCC and found Studio Instruments and further effects under Home studio. I think they have to be installed separately.

I just had my daughter download this (this is the first post in her new account!).  I have Splat and downloaded it, too, but I just started the program on my daughter's laptop and it says it is in demo mode.  Did I so something wrong/anyone else having this issue?

There's 2 ways. If you installed it with Command Center this is done automaticly
If you installed direct the you need to go to the Help menu and look for Offline activation
Follow the instructions and it will activate it.

Yes unbelievable deal if your still a Sonar Die Hard :) I've got X1LE, this is a huge upgrade from that.

And now I found out is sort of has a lite version of Pro Channel called Mix Strip. This is new to the October update and I had not seen it until today.  Bummer is it's only the Style dials which I found no use for, kinda like Boost11. And no Effect chain. But you do get the Pro Channel EQ which is handy and something most of us used a lot.

I've said it before this version of Sonar smokes a lot of these DAW's people just spent up to $149 on and it's free.
Not only that, just think of it value down the road as a collectors item :?

As far as I can tell this is only a 1 year license.  I installed the latest version of Sonar Home Studio and it works OK using the free code which I got from CM250.  When I checked the About splashscreen it says valid through 13/01/2019.  Anyone know if that means it just a 12 month version?

You could take your PC offline, set your PC clock a year ahead (ie past that date), fire it up and see if it says you need to resubscribe.
I don't have it currently installed so I can't test it.

Because most of us have the lifetime membership we don't see expiration date  on Splat. We see infinity.  But Home Studio is / was $49 for one year of updates etc. That is what that date means. It doesn't mean it will stop working in a year. Example my original version I bought in October 2016 and it still works fine. But I will not get updates for it ( har har)
They only released one update in late September which is what we were always told to expect. So your copy is still good forever ( ya right)  just like all versions always were under the new system.
