Sonar Platinum launching slowly

Does anyone have any tips on getting Platinum to launch more quickly?
My X1 and X2 are launching in 2 to 3 seconds whereas Platinum takes a good 15 seconds.

This is just to get to the blank screen, not even a project file.

Does it have to do with the command center or anything? I've gone through every platinum setting to match my X1, X2 settings. No auto vst scan or anything. I've not found any tips on line but I do see some folks having Platinum launch quickly for them.

15 seconds doesn't seem long but when you're used to 3 seconds, it feels like... 5 times longer! :)

Do you have internet connection disabled? If so, SPlat does take a long time to start up.

    Nope, internet is always running...
I just installed Platinum demo on my son's computer.... it loads in literally two seconds. Faster than I've ever seen Sonar open and he's on a slow wifi connection. What the heck??

I just now removed all folders from sonars vst search path except one to see if might help. No change. Something is conflicting with it on my machine... X1 and X2 open in a blink of an eye on my machine, could they be causing a conflict with Platinum? I had X2 installed on my son's machine and Platinum opens fast there. Could it be a conflict between X1 and Platinum installs? I migrated prefs

    Okay!
I uninstalled Platinum the way cakewalk suggested (clean)
I reinstalled it through the command center BUT did not let it use any old settings or migrate preferences.
Now it loads in about 1.8 seconds! Awesome!

Now I have to re set everything up the way I had it, plugin folders, UAD etc.
I will report back if the problem reappears
    Cheers

After resetting up all preferences and settings Platinum is opening in about 2.5 seconds

It seems Platinum (and also X3) like to start fresh when installing. So perhaps migrating settings isn't a great idea. Perhaps there's a difference in the various folder paths or something.

    All good now

I vaguely recall Noel recommending not migrating settings...don't remember the details, though.

Might have been useful to have this information displayed when we were given the choice during installation !

This has been a problem for me too. Is there someway to do a reinstall without losing everything, or at least to delete some migrated folder and let the system rebuild like a fresh install?

hold ctrl when starting sonar to re-personalize settings, see https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X3&language=3&help=Introduction.16.html
