Sonar X3c Latency Increase When Loop Recording

I'm new to the forums having recently upgraded to X3(c) Producer from X1 Producer.
Overall, I'm very happy with X3 and am learning that for many years, I've just been scratching the surface of what the Sonar X series can do.
During a particularly difficult portion of the music I'm writing, I wanted to try loop recording my guitar part to just keep doing takes until I got it down properly. This worked just fine in X1 but in X3c, I notice that the latency on my guitar increased with each loop until the sound was almost half a second displaced from the actual strum of the strings.
I've noticed the same effect with my MIDI controller while doing loop recording.
Because it worked for me before, I'm fairly sure it's not my audio interface - although I suppose it could be my computer since X3 takes more CPU/RAM.
But I thought I'd see if anyone else was experiencing anything like this and, if so, how they fixed it.
