To me it makes no sense that you have to have an effects chain to include a VST it the Pro Channel. I would love it to work like this.

IIRC each vendor has to implement something in order to be PC aware.

Should be so easy to implement too, as it's a FX chain that's been stripped down of all it's functions, and an option to expand the VST from the PC module.

Low hanging fruit really.

It would probably stop anymore prochannel modules from being developed (not that that changes much)

I think for VST that have a small screen footprint, suit the PC format, and are much easier to work with (especially if you have one screen) as VST have a lot of wasted space on them. I really like how the QuadCurve flies out to give the best both worlds. A VU meter would fit nicely, and a flyout to access details to set them up.

I have all but the gete and the soft tube modules. The ProChannel list fills two screen heights of a HD screen. A Lot to scroll through. If they develop anymore, the should really address this.

As the menu already has a sub menu (Style Dials), then it's already set up for sub menus. It would be great to veiw these by Manufacturer, or by type. The prochannels already have a type category assigned to them in the background. It's clearer on my theme, as I changed the colours of each type.

I like the look of this! I've always thought each VST should have it's own bar/container- maybe a different color to denote "VST". For me, the flyout is not important, but being able to drag drop VST in prochannel column for easy re-ordering would be very useful

Instead of flyiing out, it could just open it for view (which would mean you can pin it), but having that access on the little strip would in the PC would tie it in nicely.

I think cake should show some love to the Sonitus plugins, these plugins have been flying under the radar for years, if you haven't tried them, you're missin out...

I'm pretty sure this would have to come from Ultrafunk: http://www.ultrafunk.com/

Rocky

Not likely since they "sold the Sonitus audio plug-in suite to the US company Cakewalk" (whoever they are).

Yup, Cakewalk owns them.

I think the next plug-in should be an LFO Tool

You know what I would love some sort of deconvolution tool which allows you control the ambience of a sound using attack and decay. Sometimes I find some tracks too airy and even after using a process of eq, gating and SPL deverb I still feel it's lacklustre.

One thing on my to get list is the full SPL package from Plug-In Alliance. Or indeed the deverb module from Izotope would be nice, a big ask I know.

I have computer stuff.

Why not try to make more plugins ARA compatible?
Noise reduction and stuff, to make it general (ish)..
Waves Tune also comes to mind..
ARA is a great platform for these kinds of stuff.
My humble opinion..
All the best.

This may sound dull - but I truly am happy with the state of this software on the machine, using the hardware I have - as is.  I remember a few months ago, the same question was asked - and I now have two of my three answers to that question.   Its not that I am not aware of 'what could be' but my needs are covered. Everything I 'hear' on the radio for the style of music I love (new country) - well, its all in the platinum package.

I find myself taking far less time to translate an idea into a finished piece of music, and more time fitting it into a show.   Heading down the path of show integration is simply not in the business model but it would be cool.   :o)

That all said - a mighty round of cheers to the bakers and this community.  You have all had a hand in making this truly easy and cost effective...

Take care
