Space Nerds: Gravity is a really cool flick...

The IQ-less on YouTube will tell you that there's no such thing as gravity and the earth is flat.
 
(I'd find their theories hilarious if they weren't so darn serious - the future could be in trouble...)

I still enjoy a night of bad sci-fi over a night of good reality TV. My life is stuffed full of reality, when I relax I want to get away from it and just imagine a different life. At 60, I can still go and see an animated movie like Despicable Me and totally buy into the premise.

I did enjoy that movie.  And Sandra Bullock is a most attractive astronaut, no doubt about it.  However ... come on now!  The reality of space suits involves wearing something akin to diapers - something totally overlooked by the costuming department.

Ha! Yup and that was one the major tech flaws that apparently irked the real space people. After I posted this I actually went looking for info on what stuff they messed up and right on the wiki entry there's a list...

'Gravity' was Ok, it didn't linger long in the memory tbh. Very much enjoyed 'Arrival', that was some thought-provoking stuff.

I can't remember much about it either other than thinking ......"yeah, right that seems entirely believable......" many times over.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar and other times it ...... never mind.
