Snap never worked correctly for me in X1.  It was so bad that my solution was to stop using Sonar and move to other DAWs (PT and Studio One).  That fixed the problem (and many others).
 
X2: snap was still wonky for me.  My solution: stick with other DAWs.
 
X3/Platinum: works perfectly (so far).
