:-) At least you understand me! You are part of an ever shrinking minority... Still though, your music is great. I have a special appreciation for it, along with so many others here. I think I speak for everyone when I say you are a truly gifted musician? And you've come along as a producer/arranger and your skills now are impressive across the board (as long as you don't sing...) LOL!

It's taken awhile, but yeah, I think I get you most of the time. Maybe the meds helped some? :) And thanks, some days I need the encouragement...other days tempted to quit. But I promise not to sing without ample warning!

Hi, Janet, Great song and excellent playing as always! This has a very dramatic feel to it, and it's easy to imagine it as the backing track to an emotional segment of a movie. Very nice work! Bob

Janet Well thank you very much, Dan! :) I'm still using Ivory I. Did you upgrade from that? I'm curious to know what you think of it. I think Ivory's wonderful and haven't seen the need to upgrade, but I'd like to know what's changed. Thanks again! No, I did not upgrade from Ivory I, so I can't compare the two. The only thing I can say is that, so far, it beats the heck out of the pianos in Komplete 8. Very playable, quiet to loud with lots of range. Regards, Dan

I think this is a nice peice of music Janet. I enjoyed hearing it. To bad they don't make pianos with 3 sustain pedals. One for all keys and split the other two for the lower and higher keys. It would have been helpful here I think.

Such a sweet track this Janet which I enjoyed immensely. I really like the simplicity of it and found myself wishing it was a bit longer.

Thanks for stopping by, Bob, and for your kind words. Glad you liked it. ;) OIC, Dan. Yeah, when I first got Ivory, the first thing that came to mind was that it was like swimming in chocolate. :) Several guys here helped me tweak it to the default settings I use now. I love it. :) Thank you Guitarpima. 3 pedals? That's an interesting concept. You could always increase the length of the notes if you wanted that feature I suppose. I'll check that out. Thanks. Thank you very much Mark. I wish it was longer too...I always shoot for at least 3 minutes, but I just couldn't think of anything to add without getting really repetitive, so I just quit at 2:30 or whatever it was. :)

Very pretty Janet. I know you have a need and desire to do stuff with big productions but, I like it when you just play the piano. Beautiful. I also noticed you put a price tag on your music. Kudos for you realizing your music has value.

Thank you so much, Tim. I guess I've felt a pull to just do stuff I can handle and not take on so much I really can't. (and well, a simple piano piece doesn't take as long.) :) Yeah, it felt a little weird putting a price tag on these pieces...I doubt I'll sell many, if any. But when I noticed 67 downloads last month, it made me stop and think. If it's just guys here downloading so they can listen to it more easily...well, I'll feel bad about that. So we'll see. Anyway, thanks again. I appreciate it!

Wow! I really like this! I've always been a bit jealous of the fact that those who do instrumentals(especially you piano-folks!) can get such a great sound without worrying about what mic to use or how the room is going to sound. :) Great stuff!

I'm listening on the phone, however, with the Proline Ultrascone's I does not strike me any more as being too bottom heavy. I notice a big difference from the 1st listen.

I wish I could see that picture you're talking about. As usual your playing is beautiful. I hear that bass note kinda "sticking out" now and then but have no clue how to fix it or if it even should be. Beautiful tune, Janet. It is a great sounding piano whatever you are using!

That's good Brent. I hope you don't get another foot! We just got an inch. It's beautiful, but I'm really ready for spring... Robby, you listened again? Thanks! Thank you, Gary! Thank you too, Warren. I could simply lower the velocities on those offending notes. Maybe I'll do that some day (I'm not at my DAW for hours a day anymore like I used to be....) The picture is the picture I put by the song. :)

Hi Janet - I like the piece. It has a really nice flow - played with conviction. I think the eq sounds good. The only thing I would do is try soaking it with a cavernous reverb that isn't bottom heavy. That's totally a subjective and stylistic choice.

Janet, I'm ready for spring, too! It was close to 80 the other day, so I was really hoping the cold weather was over. We didn't get much snow this time, but it's way too cold for my tastes out there. I'm trying to get more exercise, and walking/jogging in the cold doesn't help!

I do too, Warren. I saw it in Nat'l Geographic and knew I wanted to write a piece to go along with it. So I tore out those pages and put them on my keyboard waiting for the tune. Like I said earlier, I'm not sure this is THE tune, but once I got started on it I had to finish it. Maybe I should change the name of this one. lol Anyway, I was nicely surprised to see the same picture on Google images. :) You didn't get much snow this time? Well, maybe tomorrow. lol Yeah, I'm a gardener and I think my body is also solar-powered, so I'm about to climb the walls. Hopefully good weather will be here soon. It would also be nice if this coldness would prevent another extremely hot, dry summer, but we'll see.

You know, we got a little bit of snow the other day, but it's all melted already. I'm not really complaining, mind you. I like snow, and all, but I'm ready to be warm. Although, being bald and fair skinned, I probably don't love the actually sunlight as much as you do, Janet ;)
