I like the "modern" music sound and the old-timey vocal treatment (obviously the reverb -not sure what else) early on.

Very nice, even after the vocals go 21st century, man.

I agree with Daren, this should be on the radio.  I'm a little late to this party, but this production is just top notch.  I can't wait to hear what the two of you come up with next.

All the best,
Lynn

I love this.  This song was the main tune in "Dance With Me" with J-LO and R.Gere.  It was a really good flick.  You and Mrs. did a really good job on this.  Horns and stuff sound really good.  You're keeping this Mrs.D around, huh?  Good decision!

great tune!

nice arrangement... i'm not familiar enough with the original to know what has/hasn't been changed.

mix item:
the vox sounds a bit flat EQ wise (the vox is excellent!)....
sounds like it needs some AIR, high end above 8khz

the low floor tom:
too much deep, it can be eq'd a bit more to really dial it in with punch, instead of subs

Daryl,

Another great track from you and the Mrs.  Actually listened to this several times last week and thought I had written a comment, guess not.   Old age is catching up to me;)   Really well done, the music is very well balanced, I like your arrangement.  The only suggestion I would make is to brighten up the horns a bit either with EQ or a bit of an exciter.

The vocals are outstanding as usual, I appreciate that Mrs. Daryl doesn't over sing these songs.  Listened to this track with my daughter last night and she made the comment that the problem with a lot of the newer songs today is that you just can't sing along with them because the singers are doing a lot of crazy acrobatics, effects, etc... She thought Mrs. Daryl was very good.

Regards
