You're most welcome! I'm glad you & Starise were able to make use of the deal. I bought this sometime back for $59 and thought it was a steal/deal....so, you guys really did get a good deal.

(The next time you guys buy from Esoundz, you can enter the name of a person that referred you (Mesh....hint...hint....) and I will they'll get some epointz added to my their account).

I will refer you next time Mesh. I downloaded Sonic Synth 2 no problems but when I went to the sounds section of the user area and try to download the sound files I get a great big "FORBIDDEN 404" message in black letters on a white page. Not sure what happened there but I submitted a ticket to IK about it.

It's like 10 or so zip files that are essentially all of the sounds in Sonic.I had no problem downloading the extra paks though....

When I registered my SN with IK it thought I had registered a copy of Sampletank when I had actually registered Sonic Synth 2....it's never easy is it?

Sorry to hear about the DL issues....hopefully they'll get back to you soon.
I didn't have any issues as I had the DVD's and the registering part was quite easy with their Download Mgr.
The important thing (when registering) is to install it as Administrator on your machine to avoid getting error messages when you try to load it in Sonar.

To be honest, most of Sample-Tank's expansions do need some tweaking to get the desired sound and are generally your bread n butter instruments. However, I did like the  Hip Hop Instruments, Piano Collection, & Sample OB Xpander straight out of the box so to speak. All of them do have useful sounds, but like I said....they do need a bit of "massaging". Their World Instruments Collection is quite large with a variety of sampled instruments and you can get some interesting sounds with a little tweaking (I do like mixing all kinds of musical genre's with various beats and this collection was quite useful).

You might be able to get more detailed reviews at the KVR site. Good luck!!

The electric and acoustic guitar collections have a few usable patches, after some creative equalization. Nothing close to, say, the Orange Tree libraries, but usable.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Running bit bridge it runs fine in 64 bit. The next generation of SampleTank will bring 64 bit to our workstations and these libraries will be compatible with future generations as well. You can read all the details, specs and FAQs on the IK Sonik Synth 2 page.

Thanks, that's good news Obi.  I jumped on the deal and I'm glad I grabbed it.  Only had it for a couple of days and it's working fine in BitBridge, but I like to keep everything in 64bit wherever possible, so I'm glad to hear these libraries will work when SampleTank is updated!

Wow! Just tried it and I like it!  I was expecting a simple tone control, but it's more of a guitar amp tone stack type of thing.  I used the preamp effect on a couple lead tones and liked it, but I think this will be more useful overall.  The preamp is more of a now and then thing for a certain tone, but I can see myself using the tone control quite often.

Took half a day for me - seem they had to wait for IK to provide them w/ serial numbers which you can then use to register on IK's own web site and download your software.

You should have the serial number by now, let support know if you haven't yet. Tone control is made to simulate tube styled preamp so it definitely beefs up the sound. I usually just leave it on my master FX in SampleTank for everything.
