That's way too much. There are a lot of really good amp sims and cabs to be had for that kind of money - and that's without the discount on the upgrade price.

That's a pretty subjective thing - it is only too much if you can't afford it. It is still an excellent amp sim, and you are getting a discount. If I didn't already have other amp sims I would certainly buy it. Of course, as you say, there are other options.

That's a pretty subjective thing - Sure, the price is a subjective thing, and so is the quality. Also - some people prefer having lots of different amps that each do their own thing, and others prefer less amps that are highly tweakable. Oh well, the world will continue spinning - even when I pass on this "deal" ;-)

It's just that, I've been trying a few things since we got the TH3 Cakewalk version - and There are some things out there that I like a lot better than TH3 (let's not get in to "amp sim A" is better than "amp sim B"). I do like a couple of the TH3 amps (the SLO and the Marshall) but not the rest. I thoguht - if the upgrade was cheap I'd maybe give it a try - but this isn't cheap (for an upgrade price).

So, the CAKE deal is better than the deal Overloud offered me. If I pulled the trigger on their offer, it would have cost me $175 to upgrade. This CAKE deal is $150 (approx) and $25 is $25. I am going to play around this weekend with TH3 and check out the HI WATT sims they have (I saw they have the normal and brilliant channels as 2 separate amp/cab combo. The HI WATT is by far one of the my most favorite guitar tones ever. Guitar Rig's version is the best, followed by Amplitube. If TH is better the Guitar Rig, then this is a no brainer for me. Thanks for keeping us to date on this thread on our options. Jim
